Melissa Frances Has a Romantic Vintage Appeal That You Will LOVE!

My absolute favorite line of embellishments right now is Melissa Frances. The line is packed full of nostalgia, whimsy, celebration, and has a wonderful romantic feel.

The Christmas Glitter Chipboard is perfect for adding that extra "something special" to your holiday projects. It has so many great shapes to use - snowflakes, trees, angel wings, and stars! So many uses, so little time! The ticket books are also great. They are replicas of old labels and such that you can tear out of the book and apply to your projects.

The Breast Cancer Ticket Book celebrates survivors and helps you document the fight against breast cancer. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month - so please ladies, don't forget your self exam!

Back to Basics at the Centerburg Farm Festival

With record attendance, the Centerburg Ohio farming Festival was a weekend thrill. It told me loud and clear that people are getting back to basics! The Arts and Crafts area was full of exhibitors and attendees, it was hard to even get our son into the animal petting zoo, and the homemade ice cream line went on for miles.

Our friend's son and daughter entered the sunflower contest (for real!) The biggest sunflowers you've probably ever seen - there were hundreds of entries! Our friends other daughter loves horses so much, that she volunteered at the horse/pony ride area the entire weekend! Um, there was even a tractor parade! Ironic, that we ran into one of Simon's Team members spending the day there with her family too! It appears that families are spending more time together getting back to the basics -eating organic, riding bikes, shopping at farmer's markets, and spending time together "hobbying". It's good to see... good to see and really good to live. My favorite part was the homemade ice cream! An Older married couple used this John Deere equipment to make homemade ice cream and it was delicious!

Ohio is the heart of it all, and Centerburg is the geographic center of Ohio. It's a rural, tiny town, about an hour north of Columbus of which many people have not heard. It's worth checking out during next year's Farming Festival in September. This is NOT a paid endorsement ;)

I was so excited when these new epoxy brads from Kaiser finally arrived at SimonSaysStamp! Grunge, Enchanted, Sorbet, Elegance, Wonderland and Deck the Halls are only a few out of the many brads that Kaiser has to offer. Wonderland and Deck the Halls would make a great embellishment for any Christmas card or holiday project. Kaiser epoxy brads have a theme to fit any occasion. My favorite are the Grunge brads. They remind me a lot of Tim Holtz' rubber stamps and would go great with any of his projects and ideas!
