Christmas in New York Idea by Inkadinkado

It was a wonderful holiday with our family! Today begins preparations for Christmas. We hope to put up our family Christmas tree. Above is a snapshot of me that my hubby took after Thanksgiving dinner cleanup. Can you see the relief in my eyes? My son is begging me to toss the football with him. YAHOO! Christmas is coming!

Happy Thanksgiving from Simon Says Stamp!

Happy Thanksgiving! I understand that Thanksgiving is an American Tradition, but we would like to extend Thanks to our customers from around the world today! Today is a holiday in the United Stated, most of us are spending the day eating Turkey and spending the day with our families. I wish you all good food and family time too!

My hubby, son, and I are having 16 guests today in our home later today to celebrate the holiday. The 2 apple pies are finished and I just finished my dad's Birthday cakes (chocolate and vanilla). Just a little bit ago, my beloved hubby took our little boy to run some last minute errands. Soon, my future sister in law will be arriving to help bake a pumpkin pie. Does it sound like our family is big on dessert? We ARE! No worries, we'll have corn, carrots, peas, turkey, ham, rolls, stuffing, sweet potato casserole and mashed potatoes too. It's a feast for all and I can't wait to break my diet and indulge ;) What's your favorite food? It's always hard to find something that everybody likes. Is there a dish that has become tradition in your family?

Just wanted to pop in and say hello and I am thankful for all of you! You are part of my family too! I spend many hours away from my hubby and son working diligently with the Simon crew and our customers doing what I love. My life is blessed and want to THANK YOU for being a part of it all with us!

Tim Holtz Introduces Four New Distress Crackle Paints!

Can you believe it? Just when you thought you couldn't get enough of Tim Holtz's crackle paints, he has introduced 4 new awesome colors! Three of them are metallic and one is a fabulous opaque white!

Decades of Distress in one simple step with Crackle Paint! This uniqe one-step paint that cracks as it dries, adds instant aging to cardstock, chipboard die cuts, paper mache projects and more. Apply a medium coat for fine cracks, a heavier coat for larger cracks.

The three new Metallic Distress Crackle Paints are Anitqued Bronze, Brushed Pewter, and Tarnished Brass. Note: Metallic Crackle Paints take 2-3 times longer to dry than non-metallic versions. Do not use a craft heat tool to speed drying as it will cause the paint to bubble. Just like regular Distress Crackle Paints, the metallic versions are easy-to-use, one-step crackle paints. They give a varied look based on application and they are available in 1.1 fl. oz. jars with built-in applicator brush. The difference is that these paints have a shiny, metallic finish when dry. You will soon be addicted!

The other fabulous new product is an opaque white Distress Crackle Paint called Picket Fence. You can use a craft heat tool to speed up drying on this paint. Can you even imagine the number of possibilities? I am most excited about this new color because of it's versatility.

I just love the idea above! It thinks outside of the box (oops, I mean Tin ;0)

Spending time with my goofy family during the holidays is the best part of it all. One of our favorite activities is to craft. Whether it be making cards, Christmas Tags, Decorating tins for jewelry or gift card boxes, it seems sharing our creative energies helps us get along that much better ;) Do we all have goofy families, or is it just me?

My sister introduced me to rubber stamping 7 years ago. She lived in a little town called Swanton Ohio and had a young baby at home, so stamping was an ideal activity for us to share in together. I was single and childless back then and had so much more free time. Now I realize that stamping and creating is more than fun, it's soul food. Good for the soul, as my hubby says. Stamping and crafting is, as I mentioned before, an excellent way to share family time. Make time to feed your soul this holiday season!

OH I LOVE THIS Tim Holtz Stamp Set! SANTA'S WISH

This stamp set is called Santa's Wish and it is by Tim Holtz! Looking at the Merry Christmas stamp with the detailed Santa Claus REALLY gets me in the mood to start my Christmas cards.
