Simon Says Stamp & Show: Your Favorite Stamp!

Happy Tuesday! Hopefully you all had a restful weekend and holiday! This week's Stamp & Show prompt is to show your favorite stamp! Pretty cool, right? Below, you'll see our Stamp & Show Design Team's favorite stamps! If you feel like gaining the chance to win a $50.00 voucher to Simon Says Stamp, enter the Simon Says Stamp & Show Challenge here!

Made by Nancy Wethington! Some of Nancy's favorite stamps are: Bluebird by Artistic Outpost and Artsy Banner by Crafty Secrets. I love that Tattered Banner, Nancy!

Made by Candy Colwell! Candy made this vibrant, fun piece using her latest favorite stamps by Wendy Vecchi: the Tools for Art Set. The bright colors you see here showcase what Distress Stains and Color Washes can do!

Made by Sarah Engles-Greer! Sarah used the Pattern Pieces Stamp by Tim Holtz. Those letters were made using the Chip Block Alphabet Die. Need some scissors that cut really well? Try Tim Holtz's Craft Scissors!

Made by Nancy Crissinger! Nancy likes the Haberdashery Stamp Set by Tim Holtz. I have a feeling she also likes Distress Inks (buy pads individually or in sets of 12, 24 or 36! Need reinkers? We have 12, 24, or 36 sets of those too - available together with both reinkers and pads or separately!)

Made by Lori Hassler! Lori chose Art Colors Life as her current favorite stamp. She also used Love to Make Art - both are by Wendy Vecchi. She colored using Denim and Watermelon Adirondack Pigment Inks.

Made by Terry! Terry's favorite stamps are Just Fly and Just Flutterby Butterfly by Wendy Vecchi. Don't you love the lacy effect she created with the EK Success Fleur de Lis punch and Tim Holtz's Vintage Photo, Wild Honey, & Weathered Wood Distress Inks? I do!!

Made by Lynne Forsythe! Lynne loves Real Garden Petals by Hero Arts. She also used the Styled Labels Die by Tim Holtz.

Made by Kim! Kim used Alphabetically Art by Wendy Vecchi! Like that metal embellishment? It's an Ornate Plate from Tim Holtz's Idea-ology collection.

Made by Linda Coughlin! Linda created her card using her new favorite stamp set, Papillon by Tim Holtz. She also used Kraft Resist Paper. Looks great!!

Made by Dan! Dan used his favorite stamp, David from Artful Artifacts, by Tim Holtz. I've got to admit, this is one of my favorites too!! He also used Bitty Grunge.

Made by Linda Elbourne! Linda's favorite stamp is also her first Tim Holtz stamp, Mona. She is also a fan of Wendy Vecchi's Make Mine Mini Art Set.

It's hard not to like these stamps!! Such good choices : ) What's your favorite? Answer by entering the Simon Says Stamp & Show Challenge this week!

We Spy....A FOX!

In addition to the ducks, geese, frog, squirrels, deer, and heron (or really tall owl, as one of my lovely co-workers thought lol) we have spotted so far just beyond our parking lot, we now have footage of a cute little fox! ...Please excuse the shakiness of the video in the beginning...I was trying to sneak up on him!
Our poor fox seems to be quite itchy! Still adorable, though : )

In honor of our fox, here are some fox-related items in our store!

Want to win some BLOG CANDY? Help us name the fox! Please join our following and post a comment here about what you would like to name it (not sure if it's a he or she so either will work!).

Enjoy your day!

A Faber-Castell Creation!

Gelatos & Clear Stamp

Well, if you've been on vacation for the past week or two get back into what is HOT this season at Simon Says Stamp! Faber-Castell! Designer Jennifer Matott designed this beautiful creation above with Faber-Castell products and here's how she did it!

Faber-Castell Gelatos allow you to mix the color you like into the colors you love :) You can see Jennifer use a craft sheet to help mix the colors.

You can use Faber-Castell's Black & White Gelatos to make a lighter or darker color.

Spritz a little water and then POW!

Well if you think Jennifer Matott is a genius, you're definitely in the same boat as me :)

Jennifer then applied the medium to her background, but ALSO applied Faber-Castell's Textural Accents, which include a gesso, gel medium and glaze. I think Jennifer Matott's technique is an excellent way to try a different approach to your next craft and to check out Faber-Castell's products at Simon Says Stamp!

Stay Crafty!
:) Fran

New Graphic 45: Magic of Oz!!!

Some of you may have already heard the fabulous news: Graphic 45's new collection is Magic of Oz!!! So classic and cute. My dad loves to talk about the year the Wizard of Oz came out and how it was the best year for movies ever (Gungadeen, Gone with the Wind and more huge hits came out the same year). I'm pretty sure The Wizard of Oz has a nostalgia effect on just about everyone : )

I completely love the new cling stamps they're going to release!

I'm sure if you are anything like me, your mind is conjuring up lots of memories of the movie, musicals, etc. So much fun : )

I always loved Dorothy and looked up to her - had to have those ruby slippers!!! lol

We'll definitely have 12" x 12" Magic of Oz paper packs as well as the 8" x 8"size ...both will include 12 double-sided papers.

Tap your heels together three times! Coming soon in June...
