How Do I DISTRESS Thee, Let Me Count The Ways!





Does anybody get tired of seeing the wonderful Tim Holtz demonstrate his techniques? I don't think anybody does!



Today we are talking about Tim Holtz's line of Distress Inks from Ranger. They have so many uses and come in 24 awesome colors. Here's another fabulous tip from Wendy Vecchi at Ranger. You can make your own glimmer mist using Distress Inks! In a Mini Mister, add one dropper full of the Distress Ink Refill color of your choice (or experiment with a few). Add some of the Ranger Perfect Pearls powder. Then top it off with water (all the way to the "R" on the mini mister bottle). Now you have your own specially created glimmer mist! This works with Distress Inks because they react with water, not repel water!

    Hi! I use the first technique of the video! I have 3 Distress Inks, Blue, Red, Brown and I like distress the paper with them!

    Das Video ist große Klasse, mit dem Glimmer Mist, ist ja genial, leider hab ich sowas nicht.
    Aber so ein Distresskissen hab ich und da kann man tolle Effekte erzielen

    I love all of Tim Holtz products!! I love how they all match up in the same colors for projects!! My favorite way to use my TH ink pads is for the edge of my projects

    I couldn't agree more with you about not getting tired of watching Tim & his techniques. I am in technique heaven watching him work. Watching the video made me actually want to work on something, but my youngest child needs to finish her book report project, and as her Mom I need to supervise her, or for some reason it just doesn't get done. But if anyone needs to know, I highly recommend that craft mat, it comes in so handy when crafting. I love that paint or ink just comes right off it. Ok, now I must get back to supervising. Crafting sounds much better. Thanks for the video link.

    I LOVE all things Tim, but the distress inks would have to be a favourtie. I have been going ot classes recently that tead Tim's techniwues and the inks are just divine! Thanks for the link - saved it to my faves for future reference!

    Oh I never tire from watching Tim's video's. I'm really enjoying using his products at the moment, the quality is second to non.
    I love inking my mat and pressing the paper on to create unique backgrounds.

    Tim Holtz ROCKS! Love all his products, but especially love the fact that he keeps giving you techniques on how to use the products. So important!! I've dabbled with the inks and perfect pearls - I can wait to try these new techniques. Thanks for sharing!

    I use one or another just about daily for dtp techniques, stamping, sponging ... there's nothin' quite like 'em ... soooo many kewl things to do with 'em!

    I wondered what was so special about Tim Holtz's Distress Inks! I thought they were just for edges. This was the first time that I have seen them demonstrated. Fabulous! What fun it would be to try these on my projects.
