Calendars are great rubber stamping projects. They allow you to create and customize endlessly. They even make great gifts - just add personalized birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions to your finished project and voila - an instant gift for Grandma. You can create from scratch, or even alter an already existing calendar! The possibilities are endless.
The calendar to the left was created by Erin Blair using a 9x9 inch clipboard. The clipboard hinge makes it easy to hang anywhere - or take it on the go! I like this one because you can easily change the months and even use the clipboard for something else later! The clipboard backing is a perfect surface for quickly writing dates on your calendar.
I like this next calendar because of its more
modern appeal. This one was created by Natsumi. Just take an old CD case and switch out your custom made calendar each month. It has a built in stand, it's sleek, and you could even add embellishments to the outside of the case (I'm thinking Prima flowers!).
This version would be nice as a desk calendar for all those working moms and dads out there. Adding pictures of loved ones would make a perfect Mother's Day, Father's Day, or even Valentine's Day gift. I'm sure they would be showing it off all over the office!
This last one is my personal favorite! It was created by lzappa courtesy of Crafty Secrets. She altered a pocket calendar that she bought at the Dollar Store! What a fabulous idea!
This project is fast and easy! Perfect for carrying around in your purse to keep yourself organized. And... when you whip it out in the grocery store, everyone is going to be "ooohing" and "aaahing" and ask you where you got your stunning calendar!
I hope this inspires you all to start your customized calendar today! Use it for 2009, or make an awesome Special Occasions Calendar that you can use year to year - just include all your friends and families birthdays, anniversaries, and special occasions in it. That way, you will never forget to make them one of your fabulous handmade cards ;)
