It's time for our second monthly challenge over on Just Magnolia Monthly Challenge blog. This month the challenge was set by the uber talented Rach, to alter a paper bag. Before I forget, do pop across to our Just Magnolia Tutorial Blog - Debby has done a fabulous tutorial on how she 3D's her stamped images, Definitely not to be missed!!
The prize is a whopping $50 kindly supplied by Simon Says Stamp to spend in their store. So what are you waiting for, get yer thinking caps on girls.
When I first saw the challenge I balked (I'm such a scaredy cat lol) but can honestly say that I loved making this project and already have requests for lots more!! What a brilliant challenge Rach. I am really looking forward to seeing what you all come up with. The bags are available from craft shops places or you can visit your friendly pharmacy and beg a bag off them lol.
I got a bit carried away with the flower theme here (told you I loved making this project). I used the delish papers from MME Bloom and Grow 6 x 6 paper pack that I picked up from The Papermill Shop (must go and get some more - a girl has to have her spares right?!?!)
The sentiment on the front and on the left inside page are from the Simon Says Stamp "You make the flowers smile" set, the other sentiments are computer generated (thanks Mr Google!!) and the images are all from the Magnolia Summer Kit (their best stamps yet I think).
Once I had started on the flower/garden theme (I got carried away remember lol) I decided to make a little pouch to slip some seed packets in to go inside the bag.
A peek inside
The back and front (sorry for all the photo’s, I couldn’t decide which ones to post lol)
I've had quite a few requests to show how I make the "tickets" - so for those that asked here's a few quick pics for you.
Recipe:
Stamps: Magnolia Summer Kit, Simon Says Stamp You Make the Flowers Smile
Papers: MME Bloom & Grow pack
Tools: Nestabilities, Stampin Up Ticket Corner, 5 Petal and 1/4" round punches, Bosskut Leaf Flourish Die from Create4Fun, EK Success Binding Edge punch,
Embellies: Bee charm, pearl brad and prima flowers from The Hobby House
I hope you will join us for the Magnolia Stamps challenge!!
Luv,
Heidi
