The Many Uses of Fragments by Tim Holtz!

Happy Almost Spring Everyone! I just wanted to share some inspiration with you about one of my favorite Tim Holtz Embellishments - FRAGMENTS! Tim Holtz Fragments are small clear tiles that can be used as an adornment by adhering patterned paper to, or inking, and gluing to scrapbook pages, handmade cards, or any other altered art project! The creative possibilities for these beauties are truly endless!

Create custom embellishments by gluing paper to the back of your fragments (Graphic 45 Paper is AWESOME!), color using alcohol ink, use rub-ons, adhere to paper albums, ATCs, and Metal (such as the metal Unmounted Stamp Storage Case!), make into custom jewelry, make mosaics and much much more!

Did you know that Fragments come in THREE styles??? There are the original Square tiles (48 pieces in pack!), the Charms pack (48 Pieces), and the Circle and Oval Pack (47 pieces!). The Circle and Oval pack is now retired, but we have a fabulous supply here at Simon Says Stamp! Get them before they are gone forever!

Here is a list of supplies you may need to create your own custom embellishments...
Square Fragments
Charms Fragments
Circle and Oval Fragments
Patterned Paper (this is a great way to use your favorite SCRAPS!)
Glossy Accents
Tim Holtz Scissors
Alcohol Ink

  2. Oh, wow, das sieht ja toll aus.
    Leider hab ich sowas nicht.
Aber auf den Büchern sieht das sooo schön aus

  4. I have the charms and love them for adding a sentiment to a card. I stick coordinating paper, or colour with alcohol inks to the underneath side then add a rub on or stamp with stazon on the top ,,, I love them ! :-)

  10. Wow, where have I been? I never saw these before, but they are so cool! I would use them to make embellishments as Tim demonstrated, but perhaps stamp a word/sentiment on the paper before adhering it to the fragment. Love the mini book cover idea he showed as well.

  11. I love fragments, but then I love anything T!m Holtz. If I had the square ones I would make a chandalier for my bedroom. How cool would that be?

  31. I've never used fragments but I love the book cover with the holes drilled in and I love, love, love those smaller fragments covering the mini album. I would so love some of these to try that!

    Or make a necklace!

  39. I've never used fragmets--thanks for the ideas

  40. I'm planning on doing a canvas, of our wedding invitation (20 years ago) and would like to use the fragment tiles as a bridge, where the bride and groom (which were on the wedding cake) are standing on. Adorn it with lots of gorgeous Prima flowers and lovely lace.

  41. This might take a bit of time but it would be cool to cover all the pieces in patterened paper and then string them all together and hang it in a door way to stop bugs from coming in your house.

  42. Cool product!! And I have a bottle of Glossy Accents in my drawer already. I would use the Fragments to decorate cards. I working on Spring things right now. Little flowers cut from paper would look neat under a fragment.
