Whiff of Joy Whimsy!!

IMG_1182

I would like to take a moment to give a big THANK YOU to Nichol Magourik, and a round of applause for the GORGEOUS work she has provided for our blog today!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! If this very talented lady doesn't inspire you to make your own Christmas tags and cards this year, I'm not sure who will...beautiful!! Get all the Copic markers she is using HERE! Brand new stamps from Whiff of Joy are in stock now, and they are AWESOME! We also recommend May Arts ribbon, Cuttlebug Embossed Tags, and Tim Holtz SCALLOPS dies, for similar looks to Nichol's.

Take it away Nichol...!!!

Gift Tags:

I am not buying gift tags this year.

Not when I can make my own that are actually cute.

Plus it gives me the opportunity to play with more Christmas stamps & stuff. :)

"A-Moosing Christmas" Tag

IMG_1184

I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to get the positioning right for the moose image on the die cut tag.

I really sort of dig the adorable birdies on the moose' antlers.

I also stamped the "To" and "From" from the Christmas Blessings stamp set.

Time to color. Coloring is my favorite. Copic Markers used for the antlers:

Markers for the collar & jingle bells (the bells needed an added bit of gold glitter, don't ya think?):

I added some antique linen Distress Ink around the edge of the tag. I didn't even bother with masking. :) Easy peasy.

I used the tag die and scallop die to die cut some felt. The tag for the back of the stamped tag and the scallop trim to add a bit of interest. I sandwiched the scallop between the two tags and then machine stitched the whole thing together.

"Bird with Christmas Bauble" Tag

I used the same steps as before and then used the following colors to color in the ornament:

Then I finished this tag just like the other one. :)
