One of my favorite times from this past year was just recent. A blogging friend and I went on a girl's weekend away to the mountains, with all of our scrap stuff! Officially it was for her work's Christmas party, but for us, it was a girl's escape! :) We had a wonderful time, ate so much yummy food, and made it home through the snow safely... what more can you ask? Oh, and we got a bellhop to carry all of our stuff out when it was time to leave our cabin suite... it took about 10 trips on the way in! LOL
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!
My family reunion was the best event in 2010. There were lots of fun activities like carriage rides and a survivor challenge. It was great to see relatives I haven't seen in five years.

ReplyDeleteOne of my favourite times of 2010? I've got more than one, but the one I like best is when I started having a blog last May, it let me enter a magic world I didn't know and meet so many new friends! Thank you for the chance and all the best for 2011! Miria
ReplyDeleteMy favourite memory of 2010 was my son getting his exam results. He had surgery at the end of January and was unable to go to school so had a home tutor for 2 hour a day and I did the rest. We struggled at times and then went through all his revision and he even did his exams at home. The school didn't expect him to do at all well and told him so as he had missed so much school. I and he was so proud of ourselves when he got 14 passes at the highest grade he could for the exams he had been put in for. One result he got such a high mark in maths that we had said he should do the higher paper the teachers couldn't believe, and actually asked him to resit. We said he would only resit if they let him do the higher paper, they said it was just to check his foundation paper result so we declined.
ReplyDeleteI don't think we could have done any better and I think it really upset school to think we did so well without help from them as getting work from most of the staff was like getting blood from a stone. It made not getting much time to myself to craft so worth the effort we both put in, and that is my favourite memory of 2010.
I'm not sure I have one fave 'time' of 2010... we've had a fabulous year with good health, finally some rain (perhaps a little too much!) and lots of great friends both old and new. Picking just one moment.. would have to be a family trip away, a simple visit to the Melbourne Zoo and Aquarium to make the kids smile wide!
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to 2011 - best wished for all the SSS team ♥
Oeh, that clock stamp is gorgeous!! ReplyDeleteYou have really found some awesome products out. I would sure love to sing with Tilda for New Years eve he he. She´s so lovely, and so is all the other great products here.
ReplyDeleteMy favorit time in 2010 is definately this summer, when I had a crafty friend visiting here for a week, after we had been chatting for several years online throug craftgroups. It was just so amazing to finally meet a person, you feels you know so well, even we had never met before. But it was exactly as I had expected, like we had known each other always, and we spent a couple of days checking out every craftstore, we could find in a radius of 100 km, and had soooo much fun, but also spend way too much money, but it was all worth it he he he.
That was just the best expirience I had all this year no doubt.
Have a Very Happy New Year to all of you on SSS and to all the readers as well.
Big hugs Maryann

The events of this year changed my life entirely.I learned about scrapbooking. I couldn't imagine that it influenced my life. That's the result of the year.

heres the whole story!
One of my most cherished times in 2010 was also one of my hardest. We moved to the Yukon this year. It took us 5 days of driving to get up here. Then we spent 2 months living in various hotel rooms (with three young children) until we found a place to live. It was extremely difficult to do so. But during that time, we became closer as a family. My daughters realized that their sisters are the ones who will be there forever (and therefore should be treated nicely) and they learned to trust us as parents even more than they did before. My husband and I even grew closer together. It was one of those trials that you can look back on with a smile.
ReplyDeleteil mio momento più bello di questo 2010 è stato aver finalmente completato il corso di pittura ;-)

ReplyDeleteEvery moment spent with my family and all the friends I've made since I started blogging this year are all wonderful favorite memories for me. I have to say the memory that really sticks out though is visiting my husband's 102year old grandmother and hearing her say "watch this!" as she begins to show us her mad wheel chair skills. She's incredible!--and will be 103 in January!

ReplyDeleteMy favourite time from 2010 was December. My friends were able to bring their baby home from the hospital just in time for Christmas.
