Inspiration by Linda Coughlin!

Hello All and Happy April Fool's Day! Above is a prank that Fran and I played on Liz...hehe
On a more serious note, I hope you've had a fantastic week! Ours, here at Simon Says Stamp has been pretty busy, which we LOVE! If you've been following our blog, you know it has been full of blog candy! A few winners are announced on this blog, and we have another opportunity to WIN as well!
Needing something to do other than Spring cleaning?! Linda Coughlin, a Design Team member from the Simon Says Stamp & Show Challenge has created a stunning floral hat (pictured above) for this week's Hat Challenge. SHE MADE THOSE FLOWERS HERSELF!
Here's how!
She die-cut Crinoline using a cutting machine and Tattered Florals....

...then added some Distress Reinker drops onto a Craft Sheet and misted the color (try a mini mister)...
...spread the color around...

...saturated the Crinoline flowers with the color...(feel free to add more reinker and water)...
...next fold them in half and in half again and pinch at the base...mop up the rest of the ink for variation...
...dry with a Heat Tool...(make sure not to get too close to the fabric or it will get too hot)...

...Cut some leaves and repeat with the colors of your choice!

Recap of Ingredients for Linda Coughlin's flowers:
Die Cutting Machine (like the Vagabond)
Claudine Hellmuth's Gesso (for primer)
Distress Reinkers (for coloring)

Thank you Linda for keeping us inspired! What a fun, affordable project!!
