Simon Says Stamp Goes the Distance for New 2011 Summer Tim Holtz Rubber Stamps

Check out Mr. Stampers Anonymous (Ted Cutts) here with Tim Holtz in Carson California. Carson is the host city for "The Original Stamp Convention". Each year, Tim & Ted do something extra special for those who attend the event....he allows folks to get in early on his BRAND NEW Stamp releases for Summer 2011.

Soooooo.....last year we flew across country to pick up suitcases of stamps and have new stamps in stock IMMEDIATELY for our devoted customers. In keeping with tradition and not wanting to let our loyal customers down, we flew to California again this year and loaded up with stamp goodness. Photo below is one of our suitcases (photo by King of Twitter @MarioJRossi)

There is a lot going on in the picture below. Notice the corked vials!? Tim is releasing new LABELS (see them in the picture) to fit perfectly on the vials. He also created the new LITTLE LABELS Cling rubber stamp set and these go beautifully with the corked vials. .... and if you use the EK Success 5/8 inch punch, you can punch out the perfectly sized letters and numbers from the Little Labels stamp set for labelling the vials. Totally clever...Loving this and thinking Halloween...party favors, fun little jars...

My favorite thing to do when attending CHA or tradeshows of any type is to watch Tim Demo. That's a HUGE reason that I will follow him across country (OK ANYWHERE!) for the opportunity to see him LIVE. You all know that his Youtube videos are famous...and for very good reason. This man is absolutely, hands down, the best demo artist in the world. His charisma, his charm, his acute knowledge of the products he's using, a curiosity not unlike most of our own - watching Tim Holtz demo and listening to him is an inspiring experience.

One of my favorite techniques he was doing is using his NEW Seasonal Reflections stamps to "stamp on stamp" to create backgrounds within a stamped image; The photos do not do justice! We are in the process of uploading video and will have more to share! ( I'm sure Tim's blog will be loaded with more videos soon too!) The trick to the stamp on stamp technique is to use the same ink on the original stamp as the second stamp. For example, ink up your reindeer in archival ink, then ink up your choice of a reflections background stamp in another color of archival ink. Stamp your background onto your reindeer and VOILA! See below:

We have loads more techniques and photos to share over the coming weeks. AND with TENS OF THOUSANDS of new releases coming from industry manufacturers over the next few weeks, you will see LOADS of goodies on our blog, twitter feed (@SimonSaysStamp), and Facebook SimonSaysStamp.com. Don't be a stranger! We also have samples galore to give away!

Which is your favorite new stamp set? We'd love to hear! I am loving Little Labels - it's a GREAT VALUE....but the fine detail of the Seasonal Reflections has me pumped too!

Note: We will be taking preorders for most all of Tim's items on our site www.SimonSaysStamp.com. Anticipated ship dates for Non Rubber stamp items vary, so see individual listings for ship dates.

PLEASE ORDER NOW, we have a very limited supply of these IN STOCK shipping now! Be among the first in the world to get these! The manufacturer hasn't even begun shipping these stamps yet!! Our suitcases were filled for YOU!:

With an 8 week old nursing baby at home, it was a VERY quick trip, but totally worth it! And BOY Trust me, it killed to not stay longer. Abby was in good hands with our family friend who takes care of her during the week -Chera, while our 3 year old Jax had a blast at grandma and grandpa's house enjoying the summer sunshine. I'll tell you about LAX Los Angeles airport having absolutely nowhere private available with electric for a breast pump some other day. Don't get me started..... Even their "nursery" restroom had neither an electrical outlet nor a place to sit if I did have Abby with me to nurse. Big disappointment. BOO LAX! Mommies beware of LAX.

Enjoy your Summer week! Stay tuned for more previews ;)

BIG HUGS!
Heidi
