STAMPtember FRIDAY FEATURE with Wendy Vecchi

In celebration of STAMPtember, our dear friend Wendy Vecchi has agreed to create a video! We love Wendy's Art Parts and her Stamps. The video shows some fun tips on using them together.

Terra (pictured with Wendy to the left) and I first met Wendy a few years ago on a cruise on which both she and Tim Holtz taught classes. Quite honestly, it was one of the best experiences of my life. Not only was it an opportunity to more intimately get to know these fabulous industry geniuses, but it was also a delightful way to rejuvenate our spirits. I had recently suffered a miscarriage and cruising with my best friend and professional partner, Terra, was just what the doctor ordered. Can you imagine adding a whole week of classes with Wendy Vecchi and Tim Holtz on top of that!? Yes folks, it was right up there in my memory bank with my wedding day and the birth of my children.

Wendy and Mister Rick (her husband) helped us to "Make Art". We each made the most beautiful, creative, bulletin boards - mine hangs in my office today. Pictured here. By the way, Mister Rick and Wendy are master Black Jack players. (Stamping wasn't our only form of entertainment on the big boat :) Mister Rick always had a big smile for us, but he was totally serious about helping us "Make Art"! Thank you Wendy AND Mister Rick!

Wendy has her own line of "Studio 490" Rubber stamps and art parts. Rumor has it she will be adding some more very exciting products to the industry very very soon! Art parts are blank kraft-colored, pre-cut pieces made from a superior quality composite material and are ready to alter. Much thicker than chipboard, these parts can be use to make art to keep or to make art to give away and the art will last a lifetime. The surface holds ink like a dream.     I have just started to hear about the Art Parts so this was a good explanation of the product. My favorite set is the Leaves but that was a wonderful truck that Wendy used as well.

    It´s the first time, I see these too, so it was good to see the clip here from Wendy, and she explained it sooo great.
    I could see a lot of use for these, and there´s soo many awesome ones, like the pocketwatches, the tool for arts, and the sets for men are cool too, but I also love the doorplates and keys and the dressforms are really cool, and then ofcause always the flowers and leaves. Now I just hope, I´m the lucky one here tomorrow, but since it´s my B day I hope, that´ll bring me a little luck he he he.

    Those scissors are so absolutely stinkin' cute Ms Wendy Vecchi!!! I love the demo of stamping onto the art parts - they indeed match up perfectly. The Bookplates are my fave art parts though! :)

    My favourite Art Parts are the residences - so versatile. Wendy uses these on her blog heading and they look awesome. You can use them for just about anything. Jean.xx

    I have just finished placing an order and thought I'd check your blog. I had never heard or seen anything like Wendy's Art Parts, they are fantastic. To narrow it down because Wendy had it on her video and I could actually see how great it looked, I would have to say I love Art Parts For The Guys. Oh, why do I have to choose!

    HI..I had to order at midnite! TYSSOOOOMUCH! I like all, luv Wendy's stuff! not a dud in the bunch! My fav is those little scissors too, but cuz it is hers..I will say my next fav of art parts are the round bases..I actually purchased a kit as it was a class I could not attend..and EVERYONE who saw the finished product asked me to make them one! Just adorable.. I have most of her stamps now, but always on the look out for more ..HINT HINT Ms. Vecchi! xo cher

    How do you pick a favorite. I look and keep saying I like that one best, no I like this one best. the doorplates and keys look like they would be fun after watching the video. Thanks.

    I love Studio 490 Stamps and Art Parts! My favorite Art Parts has to be the leaves as I use so many of them. They are so cute as leaves to her flowers, but also alone or with other random things on frames, album covers, etc. Thanks for the great sale... I now will soon have some more of Wendy's stamps and Art Parts!

    Why choose? :D I love them all but am currently drawn to the Mustaches, Men and More set I ordered today. I can't wait to use the man in the suit and the truck with "don't make me turn this car around." I'm sure I'm not the only one of a 'certain age' who heard this a million times! In fact, I MIGHT have said it to my own boys a few times! LOL!
    Another current favorite is the Residences set. It's that time of year when I become even MORE grateful for my wonderful home and family.

    Yeah!! I LOVE Wendy!! Here style is so fun and even though it is more eclectic, I still feel that is is countryish!! I LOVE it!!

    The pocket watch definitely.One of the few things I have left from my dad is his very vintage pocket watch.I need to get one for a shadow box I making about him.Anyway to add to an order that hasn't shipped yet?
