TERRIFYING TUESDAYS: Some FANCY Oct 31 ideas!

Welcome to Simon Says Stamp's FIRST TERRIFYING TUESDAY blog post!! Each Tuesday of this month we will be featuring the SPOOKIEST, SCARIEST, and most likely CUTEST Halloween themes! Make sure you check out our STAMPtember section on our Simon Says Stamp website too for some frighteningly LOW PRICED products!

To start out this EERIE tradition, I'd like to share with you some scrapbook page inspirations from the awesome Fancy Pants blog on their product line Oct 31! Just the name Oct 31 fits perfectly for Autumn and Halloween projects!

I love this theme by one of their designers, Leah Farqharson. Her inspiration was how their family always goes to pick pumpkins and spend quality time carving them! The Oct 31 Design Embellishments kit would be great to add on a paper like this, accenting all the fun memories!

This design by Guiseppa Gubler is so cute! I would love receiving this layout in the mail, or opening it as the title page of a special scrapbook! The green flourish and "boo" are including in the Oct 31 Halloween Chipboard Pieces set! To use that background page and more- check out our Oct 31 6x6 Paper Pad (it's 10% off for our STAMPtember specials...limited time sale!!)

I think this page perfectly showcases that adorable picture! Some stamps that would accent it well are Bo Bunny's Mr. Bones Clear Stamps and the cute Doodle Bat from Hero Arts! A special tip Suzzane Sergi gives on this page of her's was to use the Oct 31 Filter Paper Embellishment. You can see it in the middle, right hand side. It's the thin, black and gray diamond patterned circle.

These Filter Paper Embellishments feel like coffee filters almost, but can do so much more! You can use them to make flowers, add textural touches on pages like the above page, and it holds up for inks and glues to add vintage flair! The packs contain 9 different filters with different sizes so there's plenty of room for SPINE-CHILLING experimenting!

Just to show you ONE more fun product- I love these fabulous and haunting Oct 31 Glitter Cuts! I think the hats across the bottom would make a fun, MYSTERIOUS addition on a card!

Thanks so much for reading along on our first TERRIFYING TUESDAY blog post! To make this post even more TERRIFYINGLY EXCITING..
how about some blog candy?!

For your chance to win THIS Hero Arts Stamp set, join our blog following, comment below and share who you think would win in a fight: a ghost or a vampire?

To keep up with all our fun opportunities this month, and every month..

Thanks for reading, and I hope we didn't scare you too much, but instead that we only made you excited for next week's TERRIFYING TUESDAY post!
-Michelle

  6. All these products are so cute...I love Halloween themed stuff! I think a ghost would win in a fight...I think it would be hard for the vampire, anything he threw at the ghost would just go straight through him! =P

  7. Wow,,, wonderful works today!!!

My choice of course a vampire!

    ReplyDelete
  8. The ghost would win - now you see him; now you don't!

    ReplyDelete
  9. I have to vote for vampire as they usually possess extra strength (IMHO after watching too many vampire movies and series nowadays) than normal ghost :))

    ReplyDelete
  10. Neither...I'm a lover not a fighter! Haha!

    ReplyDelete
  11. I would have to say a vampire would win!

  12. Awesome stuff here today again.
I have to vote for the ghost, as everything will go right thrug it but the vampire can be killed with a wodden stick ha ha ha

  13. Great stuff here today. For sure the ghost will win. For starters he can disappear and second - what will the vampire bite on?? :-)
    Fun question..

  14. The ghost because Casper would just befriend the vampire (did i just date myself?)

    ReplyDelete
  15. What a fun question! I think a ghost. He has the ability to vanish quickly!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Tuesdays are going to be my favorite day of the week this month!
Definitely going with the ghost-being able to disappear would be a lot of fun on some occasions!

  17. Well, I've known some ghosts to be frightfully scary but never as evil as vampires are portrayed... ghosts may still be souls while vamps are pure demons so I've gotta go with vampires!!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Stunning projects! A ghost would be awesome to be.

    ReplyDelete
  19. The ghost would win, can't see him. Thanks for the chance to win.

  20. The ghost would win, for sure :P Lovely inspiration, thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I think the ghost would win, for sure! The vampire wouldn't be able to see the ghost since he's invisible so the vampire couldn't sink his fangs into the ghost!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I'm thinking that the ghost would win, I don't think a vampire could do anything to a ghost :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. I think the ghost would win because he could keep hiding. Great projects!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I love all the Halloween goodies- these projects are awesome! I believe the ghost would have to win as I don't see how a vampire would be able to get an advantage over a ghost!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. A ghost for sure because while the vampire has the man power and fangs...a ghost can never be touched LoL!!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I think the ghostie would win...when the vampire gets close to him...he can just disappear!!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Don't really care because I'm not into ghosts or vampires! Would love to win this stamp set to fill a big void in my stamping world thought. Thanks for offering up awesome blog candy all month!

  28. I'll go ghost!! Love terrifying Tuesday!

    ReplyDelete
  29. What a fun post! My vote goes to the ghost because it's invisbile LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I'd say a ghost would win because what exactly would the vampire be able to do to a ghost? Can't bite an invisible ghost!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I am totally loving these Hero Arts sets you're giving away! And totally the ghost would win -- no blood, after all. :D

    ReplyDelete
  32. I think the ghost, because the vampire would go right through the ghost. Thanks for a chance to win. jeannett_mcgee@comcast.net

    ReplyDelete
  33. Neither would win; it would be a draw!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Congratulations to Blog Candy Winners.

Vampires would win for sure! I have loved Vampire stuff for about 17 years (way before Twilight) I have heaps of classic books and movies including the great black and white ones.

    as to question - ghost!!!

    ReplyDelete

  50. The ghost would win!!!!

Absolutely beautiful projects!!! can't wait for next week!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Congrats to the winners! How would you fight a noncorporeal form? I can't figure it out, so I say ghost.
Unless they have one of those fancy vacuums like in ghostbusters?

    ReplyDelete
  52. Definitely the ghost! The vampire's only weapon is to bite...and everyone knows you can't bite a ghost!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Love the Halloween LO's and Cards. The ghost would definitely win in a fight. All he/she would need to do is transmogorph, disappear, etc., if he/she felt threatened.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I am voting for the ghost- it is already dead!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Ghosts. Don't know why, but I vote for them xD

    ReplyDelete
  56. A ghost would win of course.. the ghost doesn't need to eat, a vampire needs blood to survive.. the Ghost could just outlast and starve the vampire to death.. that, and ghosts can go through walls, so the vampire has no where to hide :)

    ReplyDelete

  58. The ghost for sure! Great spooky projects!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Why would they want to fight anyway? Neither would win because they wouldn't want to 'frighten' each other.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Congrats to all the winners! Enjoy your prizes and happy stamping!! Love the ideas and these stamp sets! I think a ghost would win since the vampire wouldn't have anything to sink its teeth into!
