Hi all! Kristina here.
Yay! So excited for the new Hero Arts stamps in the store! I've also been practicing my Copic marker skills (momma needs some more practice to get the blending super smooth--LOL!) so I was drawn to the Right At Home stamp set because it would give me a chance to color the house. It's also a larger stamped image, so it can hold it's own on a larger card.
For the coloring of the house, I used three of the four Copic markers in the Brunette marker set. Being a Copic beginner, I love these pre-selected sets because you know you'll be able to blend colors. I used E55, E57, E59. Seriously, these blending sets are awesome because it takes the guesswork out of picking colors that blend well together. One of the most daunting things when first using Copics is picking what colors to get.
Anyhow, look at the awesome sets!
I also used a long kraft notecard from Hero Arts. I love these cards! It's no secret I love all things kraft, so these cards and envelopes are right up my alley. And I love that the envelopes open from the short side. Different and trendy at the same time!
Anyhow, enjoy!

ReplyDeleteI haven't joined the Copics crowd yet, but I am a huge fan of Hero Arts (as well as their partnership with OWH) and of Kristina's. You can't go wrong following any/all of them! Another great card.
This looks sooo great and is probably just right for me too, as I´m in the same boat as you about coloring with Copics, and also just learning right now. Your house looks greatand you did a great job here.
ReplyDeleteI wish the blending sets had been available when I started with Copics, so helpful.
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and your store.... and I have to say I am in love!!!
ReplyDeleteAnother great video and cute card!!
ReplyDeleteAgain it's too cute ♥
ReplyDeleteThank you so much,
Nadia -- xXOo
Love the simple card, that set is on my wishlist for sure. And great coloring tutorial, takes me back to my days in college. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat card & video! I love kraft paper, but I'm just starting out with Copics. I only have three so far! ;-)
ReplyDeleteCute card! These would be great for the "Write Home" drive.
ReplyDeleteLove your card! That's a super cute stamp set. I only have 2 copics so far and I'm already frustrated with them, the blending is so tricky. I pretty much stick with my prismacolor pencils but I'm ~trying~ to work the copics into my projects! =)
ReplyDeletewhat a great set
ReplyDeleteLove all the new Hero Arts Stamps! Kristina's card is super cute, too!
ReplyDeleteLovely card! What was the product you rubbed on the pink-ish paper before stamping in versamark? You said it was to keep the embossing powder from sticking, but I've never seen that product before. Usually I just use a dryer sheet, but I still have problems with my powder.
ReplyDeleteNice to see your working for Simon Says, Just so happen to have found you here too!! Great card as always Kristina!!
ReplyDeleteNice coloring. I didn't know they had pre-selected copic kits with color families. That makes it not so intimidating for newbies. I will have to look for that at the craft store next time I go. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kristina! Love your videos. :)
