Hi, my sizzix is new, and am buying dies cut for my machine... Classical is beauty, but distress is charming...
ReplyDeletesuch beautiful cards and tags really liked them!!don't have any sizzix die's as yet so do not know what works best....
ReplyDeleteI am definitely a Tim fan!! Theses cards are all great!!
ReplyDeleteLove the Tim Holtz embossing folders!! Distress is probably my favorite, but I like a variety of styles.
ReplyDeletelove the honeycomb embossing folder texture...the effect is really stunning!
ReplyDeleteWow, these styles are all fabulous, I don't own a die cut machine and from looking at these projects, it's hard to choose a preference , classical and distressed can both look beautiful ....thanks for the chance at those gorgeous papers!!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards!!! I love using distress inks! I also make some cards classical as well. I am new to paper crafting and have had my Big Shot since December! It has made making interesting cards a dream!!!!
ReplyDeleteI guess my style is distress, since I use Distress Inks on almost every project I do...LOL. Right now I am doing a lot of "water coloring", using the techniques I learned in the Creative Chemistry 101" class and really loving them.
ReplyDeleteI love the distressed style...both with distress ink and the TH distresser...
ReplyDeletexxx Margreet
I like BRIGHT and VIBRANT colors and BOLD shapes so I guess I'm a classicist ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm a mix of distressed and classical - but I do seem to have more Tim Holtz folders than anything :)
ReplyDeleteI like classical but also distressed.....I cannot really tell as it depends a lot on the projects I am making!
ReplyDeleteI think I have s'more classic style. I don't have any TH embossing folders yet, but those are definitely on my wish list!
ReplyDeleteWow, what gorgeous cards. I couldn't really say what my style is. I just go with the flow.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it all!! I like to mix it up but Classic and shabby/vintage distressed are my favs!! =) LOVE the creations and THANKS for the chance to win!! Have a FABULOUS WEEKEND!! =)
ReplyDeleteI like & use it all because I make a range of cards from whimsical to distressed.
ReplyDeleteI prefer classic!
ReplyDeleteboth styles look beautiful to me!
ReplyDeleteSweet cards! If I had a die-cutting machine, I would prefer classical style :)
ReplyDeleteI really prefer the classical, but both are nice. Yes, if your not taking the die cutting class...I highly recommend it, it is chocked full of great ideas, inspiration and information. The teachers are great and the wonderful Simon Says Stamps Store even offers the students a discount on purchases made during the class, which is way cool. Thanks again to the SSS team...your awesome !!!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest I love it all. Although I do have a tendency to veer towards distressed.
ReplyDeleteMags
x
Distressed all the way....Christine
ReplyDeleteI'd have to go with distressed. Love that washer border die.
ReplyDeleteI love the distressed look ... but my cards are usually CAS and I find it impossible to achieve :)
ReplyDeleteI am a classic scrapper, but also enjoy distressing......I love them``
ReplyDeleteboth!!
What I love about Sizzix is that the tools are primed for you to infuse with whatever style your choose! I've used my Sizzix tools for boldly brash, explosively colorful projects as well as muted vintage ones. LOVE LOVE LOVE SIZZIX!
ReplyDeleteI love to distress my die cuts, and someday I will own all of the Tim dies! It's my mission! =P
ReplyDeleteTypically my style is clean and classical. I don't do much distressing because I don't feel I do it well. I have just gotten my distress markers, though. :) I also am taking the A Cut Above class and it's awesome! Highly recommended!
ReplyDeleteUsually it is cas but now and then I break out into distressed
ReplyDeleteI only distress a little so I guess I would be counted as classical.
ReplyDeleteI kinda like the distress with vintage look to my projects, but clean and simple are always a nice fresh look too!! These projects are gorgeous !! Thanks for sharing with us.
ReplyDeleteI like them both; it depends on my mood which I choose.
ReplyDeleteI love Beth's crown and heart card!
ReplyDeleteI am totally Classic. Faded/Grunge to me leaves r[om to wonder if I am done or forgot something This is just in my craft life-- in real life I do it all.
ReplyDeleteLove the 6 x 6 you are offering
I prefer the classical.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm classic but every now and then I bust out into distressed! Beautiful papers.
ReplyDeleteWow...cool cards and new items! I definitely prefer the classic style, but the distressed is very attractive to me...just not my usual style.
ReplyDeleteNot sure I have a favorite yet, as I just recently bought a Grand Calibur. I have 2 dies/embossing folders that are more classical and 2 that are more distressed. So far, I'm mostly just playing. Have to save my money for more dies! The clocks and print blocks, as well as the damask embossing folders are on my radar. Thanks for letting us play along to win the great paper pack.
ReplyDeleteI think my favourite changes with what I'm working on. I've been a really kick with distressing lately but I planning a couple of cards in the near future that will be more classic.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards. I would have to go with distressed.
ReplyDeleteThis is just so cool, really great.
ReplyDeleteI love distressing. Everything must be distressed :O)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful creations. I guess if I
ReplyDeletewere to pick it would be distressed.
But I actually create both.
I like both styles, but classic
ReplyDeleteI definitely like the distressed look :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a hard choice--it depends on who I'm making a card for and the style I'm creating. Shabby chic needs the distressed look, while the classic could be used for clean and simple. In other words I like both. Is that legal? Thanks
ReplyDeleteWhile I occasionally aspire to the distressed look, I'm much better with the clean, classic look. :)
ReplyDeleteI sometimes try to do some mild distressing but usually have a classical look. Love the creations you showed! Hugs, Hanneke
ReplyDeleteI'm already a follower. If I had a Sizzix, or any cutting system for that matter, my style would be distressed. I love the look of sanded embossing.
ReplyDeleteI think I like classical best but I still like to use the distressed look too!
ReplyDeleteLove the distressed style!
