ReplyDeleteLove the Tim Holtz embossing folders!! Distress is probably my favorite, but I like a variety of styles.

ReplyDeleteWow, these styles are all fabulous, I don't own a die cut machine and from looking at these projects, it's hard to choose a preference , classical and distressed can both look beautiful ....thanks for the chance at those gorgeous papers!!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards!!! I love using distress inks! I also make some cards classical as well. I am new to paper crafting and have had my Big Shot since December! It has made making interesting cards a dream!!!!
ReplyDeleteI guess my style is distress, since I use Distress Inks on almost every project I do...LOL. Right now I am doing a lot of "water coloring", using the techniques I learned in the Creative Chemistry 101" class and really loving them.

ReplyDeleteI really prefer the classical, but both are nice. Yes, if your not taking the die cutting class...I highly recommend it, it is chocked full of great ideas, inspiration and information. The teachers are great and the wonderful Simon Says Stamps Store even offers the students a discount on purchases made during the class, which is way cool. Thanks again to the SSS team...your awesome !!!

What I love about Sizzix is that the tools are primed for you to infuse with whatever style your choose! I've used my Sizzix tools for boldly brash, explosively colorful projects as well as muted vintage ones. LOVE LOVE LOVE SIZZIX!

ReplyDeleteTypically my style is clean and classical. I don't do much distressing because I don't feel I do it well. I have just gotten my distress markers, though. :) I also am taking the A Cut Above class and it's awesome! Highly recommended!

ReplyDeleteNot sure I have a favorite yet, as I just recently bought a Grand Calibur. I have 2 dies/embossing folders that are more classical and 2 that are more distressed. So far, I'm mostly just playing. Have to save my money for more dies! The clocks and print blocks, as well as the damask embossing folders are on my radar. Thanks for letting us play along to win the great paper pack.

ReplyDeleteThis is a hard choice--it depends on who I'm making a card for and the style I'm creating. Shabby chic needs the distressed look, while the classic could be used for clean and simple. In other words I like both. Is that legal? Thanks

ReplyDeleteI'm already a follower. If I had a Sizzix, or any cutting system for that matter, my style would be distressed. I love the look of sanded embossing.
