Back to School Friday FUN!

Hi bloggers!
I hope you're ready for a fun month of Back to School projects! Did you catch Kristina Werner's card on Thursday? I loved it!

Before I share what the fabulous Danielle Walls made today, I want to take a quick second and thank EVERYONE who has sent in cards for the Maddy and Melanie Card drive! We've received around 100 cards that have been passed along to their family, and it's overwhelming the amount of care and detail that has been put into each one! We originally were going to stop the drive now, but we want to continue it! If you missed the details on this card drive, check out the original post here!

Now.....
Today Danielle has created two VERY awesome school-themed projects and I'm so pumped I get to share them with you! It was perfect timing for me to ask Danielle to help us out this month, her son is starting school for the first time this fall! We wish him luck!

How CUTE is this teacher's clipboard she made? I feel like it's easy to use the word "cute" to describe lots of things- but this SERIOUSLY is! Danielle noted that this could be used as an actual clipboard, or be wall art in the classroom!
How to recreate this design:

And then, Danielle created these stationary cards that her son's teacher can personalize on the "signature" line! This is so thoughtful! The apples popping off the page are probably my favorite touch!
You can make these too!

What a fun way to kick off our Friday series this month, thank you Danielle!

My favorite Back to School memory was 3 years ago. I came in a whole new school but I still had my 2 best friends with me to "survive" and we did. It was a really good day! :)

  24. I remember my mother taking me back to school shopping for 2 new outfits almost every year. Usually it was skirts and sweaters. In "the old days" the girls didn't wear pants to school. (I see all you young mothers laughing at such an idea.)

  29. I come from a big family, so we usually only got a pair of new shoes and an outfit or two. It was the school supplies, though, that were my favorite part. They were all mine and I'd take them out of their bag, line them up, put my name on them, revel in their newness and the beginning of a new year. This was pre-backpack days, so finding a way to get them to school safely and into my desk or locker was an extra challenge, but one I gladly accepted. I loved school!

  37. Wonderful projects!
One of my favorite memories is that my Aunt Marilyn always took me to buy a new 'school dress' each year. That was back in the day that the girls only wore dresses to school. One year I tried on a few dresses and when she asked which one I wanted I told her I wanted them all, oh the honesty of a child! She and Mom talked it out and ended up getting them, between the 2 of them for me for my birthday and Christmas. I was never a spoiled child!!!!

  66. Nice projects! My back to school memory: Being so excited to put on my new duds and head to the bus stop. I lived far enough on the outskirts of town that we had to ride the school bus and couldn't walk. And I still remember how great it was to finally get to wear something that we had gotten during "back-to-school shopping".
