Back to School Friday FUN!

Hi all! Kristina here. I'm back again today with another card and video. :)

Since today is the last day of Back to School month here at Simon, I thought it would be fun to challenge myself to use items from the Junior Stamper Kit. The kit is packed full of construction paper, markers, crayons, glue, scissors, and more. Often we look over these child-like supplies and go straight to the usual cardmaking items (stamps, patterned paper, etc), but there's something about  playing with construction paper that is just so fun!

So I broke out the kit and did a bit of coloring and cutting things out. I only used a few tools that weren't in the kit: a white gel pen, foam adhesive, a ruler, a bone folder, and a paper trimmer. Not bad! Other than that, I tried to use only items from the kit.

What can you make with the Junior Stamper Kit? Leave us a comment telling us what's you or your children are doing with the kit. :)

  1. Thanks for the reminder that we don't need fancy supplies to make beautiful art!

  4. What a fun video and card. The pen that removes the color may become a must-have of my own, just because it looks like a lot of fun. If it weren't 2 a.m. I'd start drawing apples, but I'm afraid I'll never get to bed once I start. I SHOULD be able to draw one but, then, I still draw the exact stick figures today that I did as a child. I might need to buy this whole pack for myself!

  5. Kristina this is amazing! I was wondering which set had the big "thanks" stamp and why you didn't mention it in your "out of kit" supplies. Then I realized those stamps are in your handwriting and you just used a gel pen. Unfair advantage, I say! :) I need to work on my handwriting I guess. But super fun card!
