Thank you, Teacher Card

Hello! Kristina here. :)

Did you have a chance to check out the September Card Kit? Lots of fun, bright colors--perfect for a teacher card, wouldn't you say? :)

For this card, I created the sentiment by writing on the mini chalkboard from the kit with a white gel pen. If you do this, make sure to write very slowly and allow the white ink to gently come out of the pen. I noticed that if I tried to write too quickly that the pen would skip over the rough surface of the chalkboard. Just a tip. :)

I also created a "quilt block" using the patterned paper in the kit. This is a super easy technique (just cutting squares and triangles) that has an awesome effect since it shows eight different patterned papers. It's also a great way to use up bit and pieces of paper you might have leftover from a previous card you made.

You can pick up the September Card Kit HERE, or you can subscribe and automatically receive each new monthly card kit. More details on the subscription HERE.

  9. Great card! Love how you put the triangles on the squares, I would have been struggling to match up a bunch of triangles. This is much easier. TFS!
