Today we're revealing the Simon Says Stamp January 2013 Card Kit! We have lots of fun things in January's kit! Hopefully you'll love it as much as we do.
Included in the kit are 6x6 papers from Lilly Bee Designs' Persnickety collection, canvas buttons from Maya Road, Tim Holtz tickets, embroidery floss, mini brads, kraft circle stickers, cardstock in a variety of colors, golden yellow ribbon, and a new stamp set I designed specifically for this kit called Very Special.
You can pick up January's card kit, which is shipping soon, for $24.95. Or you can subscribe to receive this kit and future card kits for only $19.95 each (you will be automatically billed each month and the kit will auto shipped to you).
I had the chance to play with the kit a little bit and have two cards for you, plus one has a video. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the video, I love the card. I have to admit that I heard Manny on the video and spent 5 minutes looking for my cat thinking she was shut in a room or something. It is nice to know you have such an able assistant!
ReplyDeleteGreat card, Kristina! Love those stamps.
ReplyDeleteCan I add a tip about paper folding from my days studying book binding? I never hear paper crafters talk about the grain of paper, but it is often a factor in the success of projects, especially with heavier stock.
Almost all paper has grain and will fold easier in one direction (with the grain) than in the other (against the grain.) You can feel it if you hold the paper by the edges and bend slightly in each direction. You will feel more resistance against the grain.
So before you cut, if you plan the fold of a project so the major folds go with the grain, you won't have those springy folds that won't stay where you want them to stay.
Of course, you can use that extra springy factor too, like in pop-up cards. It just helps to be aware of it.
Your work is so fabulous and your instructions make it easy to replicate.
ReplyDelete*love* the kit- your making my spending freeze harder to maintain!!
ReplyDeleteI really like this kit, and such great inspiration! Thank you Kristina :)
