Hi, all! Kristina here with another card and video featuring products from the January 2013 Card Kit. :)
Today's card is nearly a one-layer card since it's pretty flat. I love creating cards like this because they are so easy to mail. No extra postage needed. :)
The sentiment comes from the Very Special stamp set that's included in the January Card Kit. I embossed it over a blended background made with Distress Inks. If you've never tried embossing over Distress Inks, you'll need to make sure the Distress Ink is SUPER dry. Like bone dry. Distress Inks stay wet a bit longer than other dye-based ink, so you'll want to be cautious with them when it comes to embossing over the top.
In my case, I used a combination of a heat tool and the EK Success Powder Tool to really draw out all the moisture of the ink. In the end, it worked pretty well!

ReplyDeleteWhen are you sending the mails out? I thought it would be earlier this month, but still haven´t got anything from you? I´m a bit afraid, if it´s gone awohl like last month again??? And I HAVE checked my spamfolder, there´s nothing there either.
Just checked with customer service. This is what they said...
DeleteIt appears that you did not receive the first invoice we sent last month so we sent you a new one and everything else went normally.
In regards to your invoice this month, it's been sent out in our normal time frame. We started billing yesterday. If you're unable to find it in your email, we can send you a new one. If you have any questions, please email kitclub@simonsaysstamp.com.
