Here are a few words of inspiration behind the project from the artist:
When I was in school, the school office had yellow notepads with
smilie faces on them that said "Happy Grams". Any time they had good
news for you they would send you a note on those yellow note papers. I
remember how fun it was to see an office worker at the door with one in
hand and how it was even more fun when it was for you. I have loved the
idea of "Happy Grams" ever since. Add in a bluebird, a symbol of
happiness, a sunshiney sky, and I think you have the perfect combination
for a happy "just because" card for a friend.
I
made this card combining those two elements along with some of my very
favorite crafty things, Tim Holtz Distress, Ranger Ink, and Sizzix.
Just making this card was enough to make me smile! I love sharing
techniques that you can use again and again, not just on this project.
I hope that as you look at my tutorial you will find a technique and an
idea or two that will inspire you and give you a few new ideas!
