***This week we are giving the winner $50.00 to our store!!!***All of us here at
Simon Says Stamp are still floating on air after
Tim Holtz's links to
our store last week. What an honor! The tags were all so fun and awe-inspiring that the
Vintage Challenge theme this week is
Show us your Tim Technique. I can't wait to see what the entrants show us, but here is a little inspiration from our fabulous
Design Team!
Dan created a neat village - I love this! He used
Barn Door and
Pine Needles Ink Pads, as well as
Enamel Accents, a
Versamark Ink Pad, and
Clear Embossing Powder. You'll also need
Craft Scissors, a
snowflake stamp,
Glossy Accents, and a
Snow Cap Ink Pad.
Nancy C used
Clear Embossing Ink (
refill) and then sprinkled with
Antique Linen,
Fired Brick,
Peeled Paint, and
Vintage Photo Embossing
Powders. The edges of this lovely piece were distressed using
Walnut Stain. If you want some twine, try Jillibean Soup's
Snowflakes.
Terry used
Aged Mahogany,
Vintage Photo, and
Victorian Velvet Ink Pads to distress this - you may be needing an
Ink Blending Tool for this. Need a ticket? Try
Odds and Ends.
Grungeboard Dots were used too!
Gold Stickles highlight the snowflakes.
Lynne, I this this is beautiful! She used the
Tall Pines Texture Fade. She used
Stonewashed and
Denim Alcohol Inks in combination with the
Alcohol Ink Blending Solution. She used the
Winter Wonder Die, and
snowflake stamps with the
Snow Cap Paint Dabber. She also used
Pearl and
Silver Metallic Alcohol Inks.
Nancy W used the
Frayed Burlap and
Broken China Distress Embossing Powders combines with the
Heat Tool. Those cool flowers were made using
Paper Rosettes, and the "
Enjoy the Journey" is a mounted rubber stamp. Want a map image?
Paris Map is an option. On one of the
tags, she used the
Carte Postale rubber stamp.
Lori used the
Love Die as well as
Sheet Music rubber stamp. She used
Seasonal Salvage Stickers and the
Carved Ornaments Die. If you want more techniques by
Tim Holtz, check out his book,
Compendium of Curiosities (fun fact:
Tim Holtz has another book called
Distressables 2).
Linda E used
Long Fasteners for those gorgeous studs around the edge.
Carol Music was used for the background. As for the dies, she used
Upon a Time and
Paper Rosette. To get glossy letters, make sure to pick up some
Glossy Accents (such a great product!!). I love the rich colors too - it's
Brushed Corduroy and
Wild Honey on a
Craft Sheet with
Heirloom Gold Mist.
Linda C used
Mini Holidays for the images, in addition to
Snow Flurries for that cool edge (no pun intended!). She also used
Accoutrements,
Fragment Charms, and
Tissue Tape (that's how she made the flower!). The
Espresso and
Snow Cap Paint Dabbers were used as well. Like the background? Try
Carol Music!
Kim used the
December rubber stamp by
Tim Holtz, as well as
Lavish Trimmings (so pretty!). I think I see a
Memo Pin in there too, holding up the calendar. She was creative and used the
Branch Tree die horizontally to make a branch.
You could be a
$50 gift voucher winner!!
Enter today! Thanks to the
Design Team and
Tim Holtz for their inspiration (once again!!)

Oooh, I love the projects that your design teamcame up with!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome house tree. Loved the votive holder, too.
ReplyDeleteTim's tag with the recycled plastic inspired a handful of Christmas cards. Considering I haven't been able to create for about six months (depression sufferer) it was great to have him inspire me enough to be able to sit at my craft table and actually make something instead of just staring blankly. It sure felt good to be able to create again.
Thanks for showing us his stuff, I wouldn't have seen it otherwise.
