CHA was great! This year I definitely think it was quality over quantity. With the rough economy, it wasn't in the budget for a lot of folks to travel, and also for the vendors too. That just meant we saw some really exceptionally cool products and had to buy them ALL!
My favorite item at the show is this
ITOP Brad maker by Imaginisce! We already got our second batch into stock. The first batch sold out in ONE Day. HOLY SNIKEYS! It's a tool that lets you make your own custom brads. It is really easy to use, affordable, and oh so much fun. I had a picture of my little boy with me at the show and I used it to make my own Super large brad of him. Not only was it fun, but having something customized like that while away from home was meaningful!
Basic Grey really outdid themselves this time with their new papers and stamps. We ordered them ALL and will put them into the store the MINUTE they get into stock. Amber in our Simon office is our Basic Grey expert, and she almost peed her pants when Basic Grey gave us 2 HUGE HUGE kits to giveaway for blog challenges, Paper planet contests, facebook friends, and the like. Each kit is a box that weighs over 10 pounds, so we are going to break them down into smaller batches. Amber also manages the
FLOWER SOFT line of products in Simon too and she bought their new POLAR WHITE flowersoft at the show too. We will put it into the store for you to buy the second it arrives. NOt only is it great for the holidays and winter, but it is also WONDERFUL to custom color with copics, alcohol inks, or anything else for you to match your ribbons, brads, flowers, etc to!
Tim Holtz came out with the rock candy stickles and even more of his custom colors in stickles too. Did you know that you can't heat dry regular stickles, but Tim made his in a special formula so that his do heat dry! That dude thinks of everything. He added some great new embellishments that Terra posted pictures of on our blog too. SimonSaysStampblog.blogspot.com.
We had a lot of fun seeing the new products at the show and visiting with old friends. I think that you will be sooo pleased with the fun new goodies we will be able to bring into the store after finding them at the show.
