Rainbow Hello Card

 Hi! Kristina here. :)

Today I have a fun, colorful card using the Happy Hellos dies and the Right This Way stamp set from My Favorite Things. When I planned out this card, I was enamored with the idea of "puzzle piecing" the letters together into a previously die-cut area. And having each letter be a different color was just perfect for this.

The different colors of cardstock are all from the Bazzill Card Shoppe Rainbow pack. You get one sheet of all the different Bazzill Card Shoppe colors and I find myself constantly going to this pack to get little bits of different colors. It's a great way to try out all the colors, see which you like best, and then you can stock up on the colors you use most.

I also coated the letters with Star Dust Stickles...

Anyhow, enjoy!

Sympathy Card with Distress Inks

Hi all! Kristina here. :)

Today's card is a sympathy card made using Distress Inks and the Peaceful Wildflowers stamp set from My Favorite Things. I don't know about you, but I try to keep sympathy cards on hand because somehow that makes it so I don't need them, ya know? It's when I don't have any on hand that I need a sympathy card. :)

Anyhow, I did a more subtle watercolor background using Distress Inks in Scattered Straw, Tumbled Glass, and Shaded Lilac. I love how these colors look together.

Blueprint Birthday Card!

Hi Bloggers! Happy Wednesday to you!  I just love this card made by the fabulous and talented Jess Larsen! It's a fun Birthday card with a modern twist on the sentiment.  Below Jess explains her inspiration behind making this card!

One of the products I was most excited about from the last CHA were the Blueprint stamps from the amazing Tim Holtz.  They are graphic, large scale and really unlike anything else on the market! The coloring possibilities with these are endless, but I decided to mix it up using different patterns from the Dear Lizzy 5th and Frolic 6x6 Paper Pad. This pad offers light, muted colors — perfect for Spring. After I cut all of the pieces, I layered them on a piece of Neenah Desert Storm Environmental Cardstock.

With this particular card layout, it was tricky finding a spot to add a sentiment.  Although it definitely would have been fine without one, I thought it would be a fun play on the blueprint concept to add a file tab to the side of the card.  I used this nifty set of three file tab dies from My Favorite Things. Then, I created my own sentiment using the Sally's ABC's set from Lawn Fawn. After a generous sprinkling of Hero Arts gems this card was finished.
