Autumn Inspiration by Hels Sheridan!

Hey there -
Hope your Sunday is restful and relaxing!  I'm excited to show you a gorgeous art piece today, made by Hels Sheridan!  I met Hels at Ranger U. and was lucky to sit next to her - with each technique we learned while we were there, her "practice pieces" astounded me!  Plus, she has a wonderful sense of humor : )

Without further adieu, here it is:

Here are the supplies she used:
"I used the Spool and smallest flower from the Art Part Sample pack, Distress Inks [Crushed Olive, Scattered Straw, Rusty Hinge, Wild Honey, Forest Moss, Barn Door] and Stains in Crushed Olive, Scattered Straw, Rusty Hinge, Wild Honey, Forest Moss, Barn Door.  Archivals in Olive, Sepia and Jet BlackStudio 490 stamps, Alterations Movers & Shapers: Tattered Leaves, Branch and added in some Idea-ology Memo Pins with Glossy Accent middles.  The little mice and pumpkins are made from modelling clay and distressed with Dabbers."

Wouldn't this look beautiful as a Thanksgiving centerpiece?  Or maybe a mantle or shelf decoration!

Thanks to Hels for such a beautiful piece of inspiration! For a chance to win a $25.00 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp, please be sure to join our following and comment on THIS POST as well as Hels blog!  The winner will be announced on Monday's blog. Good luck!

Hope you enjoy your day!

Wendy Vecchi Stamptember™ FUN!

We are so excited to have Wendy Vecchi as a Stamptember Guest!  We love Wendy (and her husband "Mr. Rick") because she is a really neat mojito-drinking- sporting-great-nails-all-the-time girl, AND she is also an incredibly talented artist!  Her clever use of stamps, ink, art parts and embellishments leave me speechless.  A picture is worth a thousand words, right?  Well I have about a million of them below.  We've selected some of our favorite projects by Wendy and am showcasing them below.  There really isn't just one word or phrase to describe her style, but I know I love it!  Whether you are a card maker, art journaler, scrapbooker, mixed media artist - you name it!, Wendy has inspiration for all of us!    As Wendy is famous for saying...Let's just "Make Art"!

Her video is awesome! JUST WATCH!  The beginning is going to have you smiling for miles!

Her Studio 490 line of stamps , stencils, and art parts are made in Ohio by our friends Michelle and Ted Cutts at Stampers Anonymous.  Blossom Bucket (another Ohio Company) is responsible for bringing her delightful little accessories for us to use in making art!  One of the coolest supplies I've ever seen is her "clearly for art".  It's a unique material that can be molded into dimensional objects when heated.  It does not shrink and can be reheated and reshaped as desired and becomes solid once cooled without cracking or breaking.  *YES! That flower below is made from "clearly for art"!

Cool! Huh!? Want to see more? Check out one of Wendy Vecchi's books!

I hope you enjoy Wendy's art as much as we do!  What's that....?  Did someone ask about a SALE!?  OH YES!  Be sure to pop by Wendy's blog!  She has a special coupon code for you to use at Simon ;)
In stamping fun,

Heidi and our Simon Family
