Inspired By Love...

Valentine's Day is only a month away and I wanted to inspire you with a few great ideas that I found. There is nothing better than giving a friend or loved one a "paper hug" by making them a fabulous hand made card or craft and watching their reaction as they open it. There are so many styles and embellishments to choose from for Valentine's cards. You can go any direction!

They say opposites attract.....
This card was made by Lana Lepinski and the photo is courtesy of the Inky Antics website.

The stamp is called Fido & Fluffy's Heart. I love this stamp because the dog and cat are soooo adorable. I just want to pick them both up and squeeze them. I also like the textured paper that was used in the background - so whimsical! The extra sparkle that was added to the heart really makes it stand out.

Another cute dog and cat stamp by Inky Antics is called Puppy Love. The smile on the cat's face makes your heart melt. Check it out!

Love Blooms...
I am really drawn to this card made by Trisha Ladouceur courtesy of the Prima website because of its vintage appeal - and it's not all red and pink! The detail of the gemstones around the "love forever" is great.

Prima has a never ending variety of beautiful flowers and other embellishments to adorn your projects. Here are links to a few of my faves for Valentine's Day...Got Flowers - Valentine, Chipboard Deco Fun - Owl 4, Playmate 348, Vintage Brads, and Painterly Petals Urban.

Cutie- Patootie....
This card was made by Bev Gerard and is courtesy of the Inky Antics website again. I love the idea of using "non-traditional" Valentine Stamps. This duck is so flirty and fun...he "had me at hello". It just goes to show that almost any image can be transformed into a "Valentine" image if you use the right saying along with cute papers and embellishments. I am also a big fan of layering, so I like how the images were layered multiple times - and the background paper is gorgeous!

The stamps used in this project were both from the Inky Antics line - Duck and What's Up. Here are a few other animal and saying combos that I think make great Valentine's cards...Leroy and No Lion, Flossie and Somebirdy, Milo and Bananas For You, AND Hank and Sending Snuggle.

I hope these ideas inspired you to spread the love... Happy Stamping!

  3. I have the Inky Antics Puppy Love stamp, and it really is cute!

Even if you are creatively challenged like I am, it is still really cute when just simply stamped, and without coloring it in or anything.

I definitely recommend the Puppy Love stamp.
