Today we have some cards made by our friend Bev to help inspire you! She used a bunch of new UM Crafter's Companion stamps! You rock, Bev!
School Days
Gotta love the apple shape of this one! And the fact that cute Popcorn Bear takes his blankie to school! Bev used the EK Success punch called Binding Edge. The paper that she used for the leaf and stem look a lot like Core'dinations paper. I like the So Mod pack personally, but we also just got Jenni Bowlin packs. The awesome thing about Core'dinations papers is that you can sand them and reveal a lighter color or change their slight texture to smooth!!
Wedding Day
A good thing about Crafter's Companion stamp sets is that they usually come with sentiments! The Wedding Day set has one that says, "On Your Wedding Day," (which Bev used on the inside of the card). If you want smooth coloring like Bev's I suggest Copic Markers - particularly the Colorless Blender (it helps lighten up certain areas so that the different colors can blend). They are super fun! You can also custom make your own colors using the Empty Sketch and filling it with various refills.
A Gift For You
This little cutie is from the Popcorn the Bear Set Called A Gift for You. Popcorn truly is an adorable bear, isn't he? Thank goodness that Crafter's Companion created him! I love the punch that Bev used too - it's called Lace Heart. Those red pins that she used are a lot like Jenni Bowlin's stick pins in Garnet. Need some red roses? Try Prima's Trellis Roses in Coral Rose. A little tip: to color the edges like Bev did, use Tim Holtz's Fillable Pen Marker and an ink, like Ranger's Archival Ink Refill in Russet.
Special Couple
This adorable Ducky is named Souffle and he is Popcorn the Bear's friend. The image is from the Special Couple stamp. If you want to make a heart background like Bev's grab some cream card stock (like DCWV's La Creme Solid), some tan ink (like Tim Holtz's Walnut Stain) and a heart outline stamp (like the Heart Flutter set by Inkadinkado)
Celebrate
I love how bright this card is, don't you? Bev used the Celebrate stamp set by Crafter's Companion (it came with the "Celebrate" sentiment too!). The punch she used is a lot like the Martha Stewart punch called Holiday Lattice. EK Success has one like it too, called Lattice Chain. I love the floral pink paper she used, too! For a close call, check out DCWV Cardstock in Garden Party.
Special thanks to Bev for all of the inspiration!!! Your cards are gorgeous!
