I recently found this out at Ranger U. when Tim Holtz taught this fantastic technique. Here’s what you do:
1. Choose card stock paper (we used a black cardstock but you can use any paper). Need a suggestion? Try: Hero Arts Kraft Paper!
9. Voila! You have mastered the technique of turning cardstock into faux suede! Easy, fun, and kid-friendly!
Happy Crafting!

Actually, I've never used stickles before, but my favourite would be Ranger white (based on some of the blogs I visit and their use of the white stickles.)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!
my favorite is distress stickles picket fence, i love the whiteness!!!! =)
ReplyDeletehugs, SannaS
Definitely Rock Candy. I know it's clear but it's so versatile you can use it on any project! Great post today, love this technique.
ReplyDeleteI love Ranger Star Dust stickles. It lets whatever color behind it still come through!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite by far is rock candy .. I like to do a lot of vintage type cards and pages so the distressed line works best for me. I love how rock candy just adds a little pizzazz to some of my vintage projects.
ReplyDeleteI don't have favorite color of Stickles, because glitter glue isn't my thing. Too shiny and sparkly, I'm more of a ivory liquid pearl girl :)
ReplyDeleteI really love all my Stickles colors but the Diamond has to be my favorite because you can use it on any color for just a bit of fun sparkle. Thank you for the chance to win!!
ReplyDeleteI love all the colour's in stickles range so hard to choose one but if i had too it would be star dust,
ReplyDeleteHugs Dianne xx
Yippee...I won! Thank you for the lovely giveaway. I have already emailed my details.
ReplyDeleteI love glitters..my favourite is Star Dust stickles. I saw how DT Loraine use this stickles on her card and love the special glittering effect!
Christmas red would have to be my favorite color since red is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a Stickles kind of gal but I do like clear and sparkly so that would be my favourite colour [whatever it is called!].
ReplyDeleteThe Stardust is my favorite, because you can add it over any color and it will add sparkle and still let the color come through. Great for adding small sparkly details to my crafts!
ReplyDeleteFor once the answer is simple.... Stardust Stickles, cos it allows the colours of your project to show through and it really sparkles and shines. x
ReplyDeleteI've got two favourites: stickles platinum and stickles frosted lace. Can't live without them =)
ReplyDeleteI am in LOVE with the Crystal and the lime green Stickles!

love rock candy. it's versatile and it's name is yummy. And it also makes me think of the Lisa Loeb version of the song Big Rock Candy Mountain :)
ReplyDeleteI like diamond and lately I have been using rock candy when I want it to be subtle.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is definitely Rock Candy, Its clear and add bling to everything!
ReplyDeleteGreat technique! My favorite Stickles color is "Diamond" as it goes with anything and takes on the colors of the project.
