The Perfect Refresher for Perfect Ink Refresher!

Think you know everything about perfect ink refresher? You may need to think again. Sure, it works as to rehydrate your ink, but maybe you didn’t know that it can also be used to create a suede effect on paper!!

I recently found this out at Ranger U. when Tim Holtz taught this fantastic technique. Here’s what you do:

1. Choose card stock paper (we used a black cardstock but you can use any paper). Need a suggestion? Try: Hero Arts Kraft Paper!

2. Spray the paper so that it is saturated in Perfect Ink Refresher

3. Massage the Perfect Ink Refresher into the paper (Claudine Hellmuth would compare this part to rubbing in face cream)

4. Your paper should now be pliable. Crumple it up.

5. Carefully un-crumple the paper to reveal the ridges and creases you’ve created.

6. Using your Heat Tool, dry the paper - it’s a good rule of thumb to keep your heat tool moving about 1-inch away from the cardstock.
8. Dip your finger into the Perfect Pearl Pigment Powder and rub the cardstock. This will highlight the ridges and cracks.

9. Voila! You have mastered the technique of turning cardstock into faux suede! Easy, fun, and kid-friendly!

Happy Crafting!
