Emboss with Cuttlebug & Color with Faber-Castell!

Happy Friday, Bloggers! How BEAUTIFUL is the inspiration above? Just one of many brilliant options you can use to make something gorgeous when you combine Cuttlebug embossing folders and Faber-Castell gelatos. This wonderful tutorial is brought to you by Jennifer Mattot!

To recreate this fabulous look, you will need a Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirls Embossing Folder, and for a fun sampler, try the Blue Mixed Media Sampler from Faber-Castell. Also you'll want to pick your favorite cardstock. We have quite a variety from Core'dinations.

Look at that texture! I love it! First you rub the blues over the raised side of the folder.

Next, it's recommended that you spritz the paper lightly before putting into the folder. Try the Ranger Mister Bottle if you don't have one! ;)

The colors are intense and distressed! Disclaimer: results will be different every time! In my opinion, that's the beauty of it!

Here's a close up of this gorgeous project!

  28. I've never tried painting the CB folder, but I have brayered ink onto one. I usually do the raised side, but sometimes I do the other side and it gives a nice result too.
