TERRIFYING TUESDAYS: Getting Spooky with May Flaum!

Welcome to the TERRIFYING TUESDAY weekly blog post! Last time I had so much fun with you guys and the SCARY ideas- I'm excited to share another SPOOKY project! First though, let's talk BLOG CANDY!!

For today's TERRIFYING post, we're going to show bits and pieces from a project from a FANTASTIC designer, May Flaum! She had a recent blog post about how to make this eerie, inspirational, and mood-setting Spooky Configuration! Now, we're going to tease you with FRIGHTENING and MYSTERIOUS peaks on this project.. for the complete look please check out May's blog! You'll love her words and images of all her impressive projects.

Isn't this a great party prop?! It probably will bring as much shock and awe to your guests as it will be fun to put together! What a conversation piece it could be on a shelf or table surrounded by other Halloween decorations!

To make this project at home, we at Simon Says Stamp have the essentials ready to go for you!
The Tim Holtz Hobgoblin Tissue Tape had a big starring role in this project! Once you look carefully, you can see the webs, font, and labels all over!


This Tim Holtz Idea-ology Seasonal Salvage Stickers also have a supporting role, and can be used for the next upcoming holidays as well!

The GUTS of this project! These Configuration Boxes can be used in so many different ways!

Ooohh this color screams Halloween and Autumn!! This Tim Holtz Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink Stain is perfect in this project!

And, of course, since it's STAMPtember, we must recommend some coordinating stamps as well... :)

I LOVE the X-Ray Tim Holtz Cling ATC Stamp and the Anthology Tim Holtz Cling Stamp Set! Not only do they match the patterns for this project, but they add that touch of SCARE for anything!

    Love those configuration boxes! They'd be so cute as a shadow box for some of the kids' first things: First shoes, lock of hair from first hair cut, etc.

    I like the spiderwebs tape, the distress ink color. I'm not into real spooky Halloween, more into cute Halloween. The shadow boxes could be made into really cute Halloween project. Just me :O)

    I just love Tim Holtz, anything he does is so inspiring. I love all his products and love that he shows how to use them! I also like that they work together! He rocks! Simon says stamp also rocks!

    Great project! It makes me want to get my Halloween supplies out, but Canadian Thanksgiving comes first. It is always the second Monday in October, which is October 10 this year. ;-)

    Love the spooky tissue tape and would be great to make quick Halloween card. I have never seen a real configuration box over here and I am inspired to create something like this but maybe to hold some of my travel souvenirs etc.

    I am amazed every time I see the configuration boxes used in projects. You can adapt them to "configure" to so many themes...They truly set the foundation for May's awesome showpiece. Loved the inspiration! Thanks for sharing. :)

    these stamps would make some cute garland to hang around our mantle. Also our daughter's birthday is Oct 27th, I could create some really cute placecards! Even stamping some bags to line the walkway for her guests which would carry over to Halloween nite!

    I love Tim's new tapes!! too perfect for so many ideas running thru my head right now.
