One of my favorite brands to see there, and hang out at their booth was Faber-Castell's Design Memory Craft. Faber-Castell is a company that is over 250 years old! Design Memory Craft is one of their branches and is dedicated to mixed media and paper crafting! This white bag above was colored and designed with Design Memory Craft's Gelatos line.
How cute is it that their booth actually served gelato?! The Design Memory Craft line of Gelatos are luscious acid-free pigment sticks glide on creamy vibrant color and blend beautifully with or without water.
They work great on dark paper and on smooth and textured surfaces, even canvas! Jenn Matott, one of the Design Memory Craft's Blog Design Team Members, created this canvas tote bag using Gelatos, Aquarelle pencils, Pitt Artist Pens and Big Brush Stamper's Markers.
Here's a new storage case containing all the different Design Memory Craft products at their Make and Take table! Love the idea of how organized that storage case could make you? Let alone how fashionable and pretty it is? No worries! We'll be carrying it, along with all the new Gelatos and color lines by March! :)
Jenn Matott recently participated in The Sketchbook Project, which is a traveling display of sketchbooks and mixed media around the United States. The sketchbooks travel to 14 different cities, and then end up in the Brooklyn Library where the public can access them 7 days a week! These three snapshots are examples of her 2012 entry. I love her use of the new Gelatos colors on her pages. It creates a bold, yet dreamy appearance!
I love the quote on her page too: "While it's easy to allow little things to take over our lives, there are things we can do to make life less stressful. One of the most important things we can do is put things into perspective."... so true!
