"Thinking of You" By Laurel Beard!

Hello bloggers! It is not looking so pretty outside here in Ohio today! I'm hoping you all have better weather- but if it's similar weather I'm sending thoughts of warm drinks and comfy blankets to you!

Now- let me share with you a stunning card from Laurel Beard! Laurel's excitement for this industry is so contagious, and I encourage you to check out her blog for plenty of inspiration projects and tips!

Laurel explains she created this card as a "thinking of you" card, and that "thinking of you" is such a good theme to make for those times you just feel like making some cards. When there's no specific purpose- a "thinking of you" card can be created for fun and used later for many different occasions!

On the butterfly, Laurel heat embossed it and used a waterbrush and Distress Inks to color it in. For some extra super-shine, she used Perfect Pearls pigment powder on top!

  16. What a wonderful card! Love that the color of the butterfly and base card are similar and then the background is black and white. Great tip on the idea of thinking of you cards. I sometimes feel like making a card but then don't have a purpose for it so when you have the idea of thinkiong of you the card can be used for lots of occasions (get wel cards, thank you cards etc.). Thanks for the tip! Hugs, Hanneke
