Embossing with Dies & Masks

Hi, all! Kristina here with another card and video. :)

I don't know about you, but I'm obsessed with all texture and embossing lately. So I thought I would try a bit of embossing with a regular wafer thin die and also with a plastic mask. Yes, a mask! It's totally possible to emboss with dies and masks if you use a rubber mat in your die cutting machine. I use a Big Shot, so I used the  Texturz Silicone Rubber mat.

I go over the "sandwich recipe" in the video, but for fast reference, this is what I did... NOTE: You will probably need to do a test run in your own Big Shot machine. Not every machine has the same pressure, etc. I had to try out a few different sandwich recipes until I found one that worked for me.

Embossing with Wafer Thin Dies OR Masks in Big Shot Machine:

TOP
1 cardstock shim
Black Impressions Pad
Rubber mat
Paper
Die (face up) OR Mask
Cutting pad
Multipurpose Platform - no tabs (comes with Big Shot machine)
BOTTOM

I also used the Sentiment Sampler stamp set from Paper Smooches for the sentiment on the card. The "warm thoughts" stamp fit perfectly inside one of the dies from the Hero Arts Frame Cuts F pack of dies. :)
