Please join us in welcoming Andrea Walford to our STAMPtember™ celebrations. Andrea has been involved in the paper arts industry for many years and works as a founding mother of Paper Crafter's Library. PCL is a great resource for education and inspiration. (Be sure to check it out;) As an incredibly talented artist, Andrea excels at teaching. She is sharing some of her outstanding coloring and card making projects with us today, but I am also a fan of her mixed media work that she has recently begun to share with us in her personal blog.
From Andrea:
Hasn't STAMPtember™ been awesome so far? I know I've certainly been inspired by all the great projects and tutorials! With the kids having gone back to school yesterday - including my youngest who started JK - I all of a sudden find myself having a LOT more time to create. Which is why I decided to pull out my Copic markers. I've owned Copic markers for 4 years now, and am about 10 markers short of owning the entire collection (much to my husband's chagrin LOL). I love the vibrant colors, I love how relaxing coloring is, and I love seeing the beautiful end result.

For my stamp selection, since I'm in the "back-to-school " frame of
mind, I decided to use the Caterpillar stamp set from Inky Antics as my
focal point. I combined that stamp set with some of my favorite
greetings from Paper Smooches to create three different teacher thank
you cards.
Teacher We Appreciate You Card
Thanks Ever So Much Card
Thanks So Much Card
I hope today's projects inspired you to pull out your own Copic
Markers, or, if you don't have any yet, maybe you'll be inspired to give
them a try. Coloring with Copics is easier than it looks, and of
course we have a whole series of video tutorials available to our Paper Crafter's Library members.
We hope you enjoy these beautiful cards from Andrea and are inspired to take some time to stamp today!!

ReplyDeleteI am loving your caterpillar, so much personality! Great cards. Back in the 80's(seems like forever ago) when my littles were in school, I never noticed anyone doing things like that for teacher. Of course, at the end of the year, there was always some kind of Teacher Appreciation, but never anything at the beginning.
