May Flaum Starts Stamping for the Holidays!

May Flaum has always been a crafter, and she believes in making the most of her creative time and just enjoying herself. She has authored two books, has been published in a number of books and magazines, has worked with many top manufacturers in the scrapbook industry, is a 2012 Ranger U graduate, and has taught students from across the world through her on-line scrapbooking workshops. May has enjoyed working in a variety of positions within the craft industry, and loves that her studio is also her office.

She has a brand new workshop starting this week called Kit-tastic, and she is also the leader of our Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge blog.

When May isn't crafting you can find her spending time with her family in Northern California, curled up with a good book, or working on a project from her never ending wish list of things to do. She loves all things vintage, lace, doilies, tea parties, and being the mom of two girls. Her favorite distress ink color is seedless preserves, and she prefers wood mounted stamps if given a choice. If you happen to see May in person, odds are she has ink under her nails and all over her hands in general.

STAMPtember™ is a great time to get a jump on holiday crafting – and enjoying all those great new holiday stamps that are hitting stores!

One of my favorite new stamp sets is this Dylusions Christmas borders set, and stamping and creating with dylusions inks and stencils is always fun! I love the whimsical designs, the stencils that are so versatile, and of course that fantastic water reactive ink spray collection.

Today I’ve combined all of this into one glorious crafting session that I’ve taped to share with you here.

Those holly leaves are going to be showing up in all kinds of places this holiday season!

The Dylusions leaves are an all time favorite stamp of mine that I use all the time, and I’m excited for this holiday counterpart in holly to be around now too!

Here is a list of the supplies seen in my video, and used to create this card:

Be sure to stop by my blog for a special discount code on Dylusions and to see another project featuring these stamps!
I wish you very happy crafting!

  6. Love the "funkiness" of the card -- so pretty. I wouldn't have the patience to do all that fussy cutting on so many fiddly bits, but it's nice to see what could happen if I did. Nice job, May, and thanks for the all the tips. I think I'll try one of the stamped tags. ;-}
