Hi, it’s Debby here! When I was asked to look at the new Summer Release from Simon Says Stamp in an unexpected way, the first thing that struck me was that the pillow from Kristina’s Pillow Talk stamp set would make and awesome treat packet! For my card I gathered together Kristina’s cat Mannie (from Furry Kisses) and of course Simon (from Stylish Simon) and with some creative masking I was able to create a little scene where Mannie is giving Simon a bag full of dog treats!
For my next card I looked at the beautiful and intricate Devonshire butterfly die and thought that when the butterfly was cut into two and the wings angled to overlap each other they made a stunning frame to draw attention to the Be diecut. I kept a to the light and airy feel by stamping some sentiments from the matching Be set in grey down the left side and accented with some Clearly Beloved sequins.
Finally, and don’t kill me for this one as we are barely into summer, but I think the leaves from the Leaf Column dies (outline cut in white and background in red, green and yellow) make awesome Christmas lights! I added a little twinkle to the lights by stamping one of the flower centers from Petal Pieces.
