Crazy for WHO?... YOU! + Free Whoot Stamp!

Hi bloggers! Happy Wednesday to you! I'm so thrilled to bring you 2 amazing, adorable, & innovative Art Impressions cards by the sweet friend of Simon, Kathy Racoosin! Follow along as Kathy shares how she made them below the photos.
Supplies:

  • Do you wonder what owl is behind doors?? Bachelor #1 or Bachelor #2?? : )
  • The parquet floor was fast and fun to make using the full card hexagons die. The grout was filled in with Copic markers
  • Using the memento ink gives you lots of control to stamp the particular areas of choice. In this case I opted not to stamp the hat.
  • If you are uncomfortable drawing a line where the hat wasn't stamped this ruler is for you. You can bend it into any shape you need.
  • If you Google "owl photos" you can find some photos like this barn owl for inspiration.
  • Take note... my owl isn't looking card ready yet. If you dampen a rag with texture and dab onto your owl you will see some magic. Be careful to do over do the dabbing.
  • Add some accents black dots when the image dries. To add the details on the feathers you need to work quickly. Immediately after putting a white dot (over your gel pen in the same spot so the white ink can flow and pool) THEN immediately take something sharp place the tip into the white dot .... pull up.
  • Leave your die cuts in the negative space when adding color
  • Add lots of white dots to finish off the card. sprinkle hearts from the falling heart background

 Supplies:

  • The owl on this card was a quicker to color and after using the Copic ink blending solution the owl came to life. Cut under the wing so you can insert the party hat. Feathers were added to the wing with a Micron pen
  • Glossy Accents were added to the owls eyes and to the dots on the background, and then a close up shot after using the ink blending solution.
  • Split a die cut down the middle to stretch it to fit behind by adding some of your favorite adhesive.
BONUS!! Make any purchase at receive a FREE Little WHOOT stamp with each purchase!! Use code freewht at checkout! Hurry!!! While supplies last! Photo shown below of what he looks like!!! Isn't he THE CUTEST?
Thanks for reading today and thanks so much to Kathy for providing these gorgeous & inspiring cards!
