How do you spell AWESOME? T-G-F & M-F-T!!

Surfer Anya by Jess Diedrich

Happy Wednesday, bloggers! I hope a little cheery inspiration from some fabulous designers will get you over the 'hump' of the work week! We have had a lot of dreary days in Ohio lately and I'm ready for some sunshine and fun!! These cards put me in the mode for it!

Pretty Poises by Jody Morrow

Get that cool stitching effect with Sew Easy, and that beautiful flower center with Kaiser Pearls, get that cool bling effect on the corners with Say it in Crystals.

Syren by Emma Eads

Love that big, beautiful ribbon? Check out our selection of ribbon from May Arts. Beautiful Prima flowers always top off a card nicely, and what better tool to color your image than Copic markers?

Open Scallop Doily by Eva Doblias

Get the beautiful stamped image she used in the middle of the Open Scallop Doily; it's called Inspired by Spring. I love the way she inked the Pretty Posies die, you can get this look too by using Tea Dye or Vintage Photo ink on the edges. Get that cool distressed edge by using Tim Holtz's Paper Distresser.

Daisy by Jess Diedrich

I love this sweet image that Jess made! New from The Greeting Farm! I bet she used Copic Markers to color in this image and perhaps the Zig Zag stitcher to get that cool stitched look? This spring paper makes me think of the Springtime pack from Crate Paper, so light and cute!

Four Point Frame & Die Set by Megan Lock

This new Die & Stamp set from MFT is seriously beautiful and versatile!! Perfect for scrapbookers and cardmakers alike!

Be Inspired by Kathy Racoosin!

Penny Black's Flower Amongst Flowers

Spring is a blooming and Kathy Racoosin knows it ; ) With everything blooming outside be inspired by this tutorial from Kathy Racoosin!

Glue Dots

When you are "cutting" your paper layer the card stock & a sheet of scrap copy paper (it's thinner). After your papers are cut it's important to tape the back of your paper to the Spellbinders die to hold it secure. Kathy used Drafting Dots in this tutorial, but Glue Dots can work also :)

On to the next step :) Kathy then used Fiskars Cloud Punch to make the heavenly background!

It's easy as 1, 2 now on to Step 3 You can sketch your hills on a scrap sheet of paper then Kathy started inking with the Tumbled Glass Distress Ink Pad starting with the lightest first!

Kathy then placed the top part of the scrap paper over the distressed areas and removed the first part of the hill. A dauber is easy to apply the Crushed Olive in these small spaces.

Step 5 :) Kathy used more ink on the edges because when the outsides of card are darker you eyes tend to focus to the center of the card. (Makes sense ; )

Put your papers back on to protect what you have already distressed. It's definitely looking good so far!

Lucky number step 7! Kathy then distressed the second hill with Peeled Paint.

This is the finished result. Doesn't it make you want to sing that one song from the Sound of Music ; )

Now the fun part! Coloring :) Copic Markers are great for coloring and blending of course !

Kathy Racoosin did a fantastic job by adding Flower Soft's Textured Blooms to the mix! Well I hope this tutorial has inspired you to plant your own garden on a card :)

Stay Crafty!
