Let's begin on a very fun note with the blog candy winners from Friday's Favorite Five with Lawn Fawn's Kelly Alvarez! The winner of the Turkey Day Set is Yainea and the winner of the Making Frosty Friends set is Brenda! Congrats ladies!
I hope October is treating you all wonderfully so far! October is definitely one of my favorite months- all the beautiful colors of fall start showing up here & it's perfect sweatshirt season! Plus, the addition of pumpkin spice to coffees, cookies, doughnuts, and breads doesn't hurt either ;)
Not only is this card fun and seasonal, it comes along with a great video on Faber-Castell products like the Textural Accents and the Stampers Big Brush Pens! Plus, it highlights the cute Lawn Fawn clear stamps like the Happy Haunting set!
Tiffany Johnson does a great job with step by step directions in her post and video, explaining important details about the products, and sharing insider tips! Plus, her sound effects are awesome too!
Here's her supplies list:
Faber-Castell Textural Accent Sampler
Faber-Castell Stamper's Big Brush Pens in Orange Glaze, Violet, May Green, Cool Grey III

ReplyDeleteI've only used the Aquarelles so far and I liked that you can use them as regular color pencils or as watercolor pencils. The big brush and pitt artist markers have been on my wish list so hopefully someday soon.
I haven't used Faber-Castell products though I would love to!. Lawn Fawn has always been my fave and I love all my cards created using them!:)
ReplyDeleteI'm just starting my collection with these two companies so i don't have a favorite project but i can't wait to create one!
ReplyDeleteLove the video - so informative! Thanks. I attended a class where we altered a chinese take-out box into a collaged gift box. We used Faber Castell gelatos(LOVE!)and gel medium to stick down the colered collage papers. I love the way it turned out! Love faber Castell products!
ReplyDeleteWonderful card! I'm only new to cardmaking and to be honest the only Faber Castell products I have used are coloured pencils. When I fist started out they are what I used to colour my images. I have since moved onto to Copics ... but do often use pencils for that lovely soft look.
ReplyDeleteI do love the insight! Thanks for a chance to win some fantastic goodies from Faber Castell!
ReplyDeleteI don't have any Lawn Fawn OR Faber Castell products, but I am eyeing the watercolor crayons. I just love to watercolor my stamped images--those would be perfect!

ReplyDeleteHi Michelle! So excited to have won something on your blog! Not sure how to get hold of you, but I am sure I'll figure it out somehow! I love everything I have seen about Faber Castell, I have watched so many tutorials, but I still have to try that out. Lawn Fawn on the other hand, just have the cutests stamps around and I am beginning to enjoy playing with them!
ReplyDeleteUntil seeing this blog, I wasn't familiar w/ Faber Castell and haven't gotten any Lawn Fawn stamps (yet anyway!), but they sure are cute. The big markers and the little trio of glaze, gesso, and gel medium are great! Thanks for sharing the how-to's for the fun card :)
ReplyDeleteVery informative video!
ReplyDeleteI like coloring with the gelatos.
ReplyDeleteLove Tiffany's card!
ReplyDeleteI've got some Faber-Castell Pitt Artist brush pens. I love using them for lettering on envelopes. They're great for making big, colorful letters.
Great video. I made a card for my mom with the FC color pencils....love the way it came out.
ReplyDeleteI too love the brush markers, and I have just started to get into digital images, and I use the awesome markers on them. I'd love to get more of them so that I can improve more. THanks!
