First up, I layered sparkle, paper, and fun to make this simple gift become something really special.
One of my favorite tricks with glitter is to take plain paper bits - such as the die cut '25' seen in this project, and either outline or highlight with glossy accents, then sprinkle white gold glitter over to really add that special shine. You could also do this nicely with stickles or other colors too of course! There's just something about that golden color that is great for the holidays.
Other notable details on this package - I coated the doily with perfect paper adhesive (gently!) then placed onto a piece of plastic and covered with crystal clear glitter. Oh my - I am definitely going to be glittering more doilies in the near future! Finally, because I just needed a third level of sparkle, on both the tag and the wrapped box I misted with perfect pearls mist for more sparkle that I'm sure the girl this package is going to will love.
Supplies used:
Now, I want to add a bit of glitter and glamour to a simple hostess gift that I'll be bringing to the holiday party we're attending next week.
A bottle of wine can be dressed up a bit - just make a loop of paper (and adhere it to itself) just larger than the top, add your embellishments, and drop it down onto your gift! I layered a paper tag (edged in glitter) as well as a layered die cut (with some parts accented with glitter) to create this simple yet totally unique topper. This would be great on sparkling cider, some bath products, even wrapped around a candle! The best part is because you're adhering everything to the loop of paper, you're not damaging the product in any way, nor do you leave sticky residue that has to be dealt with by the recipient.
Supplies used for the topper:
Before I go, I want to leave you with this glitter tip: Place scraps of paper all over a sheet of double sided tape mosaic style, leaving a bit of room in between the pieces.
Then, die cut the sheet and press glitter into the cracks for custom mosaic die cut stickers! In the example you see above, I coated the front with glossy accents once finished for a shiny finish and so that the glitter would all stay firmly in place.
I wish you happy (glittery) holiday crafting!
