Summer School with Lorraine Aquilina!

Hello and welcome to the afternoon lesson on Day 3 of Simon Says Stamp Summer School!

This afternoon's lesson is brought to you by Lorraine Aquilina!
Lorraine has provided step by step photos showing how she stamps and paper pieces with the new exclusive Simon Says Stamp Pillow Talk stamp set to create her card.

Lorraine explains how she created her cards:

Assembling the products that I want to use.

I chose the polka dot paper from the paper pad to paper piece the cushion, and I also used some white felt for the filling. I stamped the cat image onto the upper part of the cushion so that I didn't have to fussy cut around the whiskers.

I colored the image using W0, W1, W2 and W3 Copic markers  I also used a R01 for her nose and ears. I then proceeded to blend the colors to what you see in the final card.

Here I am using a McGill Tool Kit to round the cat image and the upper pillow. Quick tip - scratch your head with the ball of the tool, or use a bar of soap, to slightly lubricate the ball so that it rolls smoothly over the back of the paper. I am using a craft moulding mat too.

Putting it all together - I used some Lawn fawn Pink Lemonade Twine to wrap around a strip and secured it at the back with 1/4 inch super sticky red tape. The button is from Doodlebug Baby Girl Assortment.

I used a Simon Says Stamp Talk Bubbles Die and stamped the bubble with Hero Arts 'Soft Pink' Shadow ink, before adding the sentiment using Black Archival Ink.  I stamped and coloured the fish with a YR02 Copic marker and added Stardust Stickles.

Doesn't she look comfy on her padded cushion :-)

Lorraine also made a bonus card featuring the dog stamp from the set!

A huge thank you to Lorraine for sharing her card making process and creating these beautiful cards!
