A Fiskars Tutorial with Jennifer McGuire!

Hi Bloggers! Happy Sunday! I hope the weekend is treating you well!

Today we have a special video from Jennifer McGuire to give us some education on the New Fiskars Procision Trimmer

Here are some key features of this awesome new trimmer:
  • Ideal for making straight, precise cuts through multiple sheets of cardstock, chipboard and grunge board, plus more traditional crafting materials like paper and vellum
  • Dual-rail system eliminates blade wiggle for straight, precise cuts
  • Spring-action rotary bypass blade stays sharp so it never needs to be replaced
  • Built-in smudge guard keeps your crafting materials fingerprint-free while you cut
  • Grid line measurements on the top and bottom provide versatile use
  • Long-lasting work surface provides accurate measurements every time
  • Rubberized feet offer excellent stability
  • Folding design provides space-saving storage and transport
  • Lifetime warranty

It's true, every crafter needs a good paper trimmer.  In addition to introducing this new heavy duty trimmer, Jennifer also features a couple other Fiskars trimmers, so hopefully this video will help you decide which one best fits your needs!

Sending You All My Love Card

Morning, all! Kristina here. :)

I love creating card like this where I can try out different techniques and such. I just create bands of color using different methods. Super easy and I love looking at it after it's done.

In this case, I did a bit of spray misting with Calico Shine, embossing with a Sizzix folder, clear embossing with the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain stamp, and then stamp resist with the Teeny Tiny Backdrops stamp set from Lawn Fawn and the new Tim Holtz Spring Seasonal Distress Inks.

Enjoy!

DIY Folded Boxes + Decorations

"Brown paper packages tied up with string. These are a few of my favorite things!"

Hi, all! Kristina here with another holiday idea.

For today's video I created folded boxes out of lunch bags. These would be perfect for little holiday treats for friends and neighbors, or even a small piece of jewelry (hint, hint Santa!). And edge punches are a great way to dress them up, but of course you could go simple and use only string, baker's twine, or ribbon.

Anyhow, enjoy! The video below walks you through the creation and decoration of the boxes.

A Few Cute Fiskars Projects!

It's almost the Big Day! Only 11 days left! Do you still have a few cards you need to make? Never fear - Fiskars is here with some very nice and easy ideas!
Combine: Fiskars Cloud Punches in Medium / Large / Extra Large, Blitzen Papers by Bo Bunny cut down to 5" x 7" with the Fiskars Paper Trimmer, and a Tape Runner.

Cut circles, and some scalloped circles for a nice border - try Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Circles. Top with paper Fiskars Stars or Puffies Stars for some dimension!

Try using some Fiskars border punches like, Postage Stamp, Scallop Sentiment, or Threading Water for nice borders. (they used Kaleidoscope and Double Bubble!)

Need a snowflake stamp? I love the Stampabilities Snowflakes and Grungeflakes by Tim Holtz for a great variety! Ink with Colorbox Frost White! I also really like Critters in the Snow by Lawn Fawn for the penguin images.

Do you live in a home without a chimney? I do! Here is a project you can do to help Santa get inside!
What you'll need:
A take-out container, cleaned

And then hang it outside for Santa!
