PREORDER Tim Holtz Alterations NOW!!!

Unless you have been living under a rock, you are already aware of the collaboration of Sizzix and Tim Holtz to bring you the Alterations Line.

The dies are being shipped mid March and we are offering them for PREORDER now! Be the first to get these beauties.

The dies are compatible with the BIGkick, Big Shot, Big Shot Express, and the Big Shot Pro diecutting machines. Tim's machine will be available in mid July and we will be offering that in our store as well.

Also on order are the Texture Fades Embossing Folders which will be in our store by mid April. We will be offering these for PREORDER in the next week or two.

Tim Holtz Valentine Art!

Happy Valentine's Day folks! Enjoy the above valentine courtesy of Tim Holtz using Ranger Products! See Tim's BLOG HERE.

My favorite color is yellow and hubby knows it! He and our little boy went to our favorite store these days - COSTCO! and picked out a beautiful yellow rose bouquet for mommy! The babysitter came over last night so hubby and I could enjoy an "adults only" dinner. When she saw the roses, it was really funny - she whispered to my hubby "who gave her yellow flowers?" I chirped up "Jason did! They are my favorite color!" In the background our little guy who is 2 and a half says "Yewwow is mommy's fawowite!".

What's your favorite color!? I like yellow because it is bright and sunny and makes me smile to see. Bright. Yes, bright is good! Do you know why your favorite color is your fave? We would love to hear!

Don't forget to tell those you love "I love you!". It's a beautiful day for celebrating love and God's glory!

Simon Says Stamp FACEBOOK FANS PAGE!

OH MY GOSH!
Simon Says Stamp has a facebook fan page! YAHOO! (Is it weird that I was the first "fan" of Simon Says Stamp?) Because, I really really am!

I am a huge fan of what Simon says Stamp stands for - Shipping a huge selection of products to the most creative talented artists around the world - that is YOU! We have a really diverse and sweet group of girls in our home offices, and an even more diverse group joining our design team. We don't discriminate against men, but so far, none are working in our offices ;) We truly delight in finding the most interesting and high quality goodies to send to you! In our hearts, we believe that stamping and any other form of art is "good for the soul". This is soul food. Creating art with our hands helps us grow. Shipping Amnesty Until Sunday!

Helloooooooo!!!! Are you buried in snow too? Our Simon Says Stamp offices and warehouses are located in central Ohio - Columbus. The snow is deep and the temperatures cold. BRRR!

Simon Says Stamp currently has a fabulous shipping sale that is under amnesty until Sunday. The shipping sale is ending this Sunday. February 14 is the last day that you can receive these rates below:

In January 2010, USPS raised shipping rates. We have held off raising our Simon rages as long as possible, but finally the time has come. The amnesty is over soon! We must implement the new rates into our shipping formula.

Do your shopping now to SAVE! Please note that we expect a higher than usual volume of orders this week because of the shipping sale. On top of the fact that shipping has been very slow this week already (the weather has limited our business hours). For the safety of our employees, we have had limited operations this week. Heidi Swapp Teams With Tattered Angels!

Heidi Swapp is the newest "angel" on the Tattered Angels team! It's been verrrrry secretive as to what products she will release next, but as of now she has announced the release of 4 new Glimmer Mists! The names under her line are: Silver Sugar, Black Magic, Viva Pink, and Electric Blue.

If you haven't ever used Glimmer Mists... you should try them out!!! Unsure about how to use them? Tattered Angels' website provides these helpful tips:

For a light, evenly misted look hold Glimmer Mist away from your project, and spray, such as you would when applying hairspray.
For a thicker, raindrop application hold Glimmer Mist closer to your project while spraying. Do not move the sprayer too much, or too fast.
For a pooling effect, which gives intense color, spray Glimmer Mist very closely and directly on your project.

You can let Glimmer Mist air dry or use a heating tool to speed up the drying process. Layering multiple colors adds a beautiful richness to your projects!

Simon Says Stamp has Ranger Craft Sheets which make "misting" a much quicker, cleaner process. We also offer Manila Tags that you can experiment different techniques with! Jill's Tutorial on Using Tim Holtz Inks Creating Background

Thank you Jill for allowing us to post your tutorial on our lil' Simon Says Stamp blog! Your work is awesome and I think the tutorial will help readers understand another way to use Tim Holtz' distress ink pads! For more inspiration, please visit Jill's BLOG.
Hi friends! I've had a few questions on how I made the background for my card on the Hero Arts blog, so I thought I would do a little photo tutorial. It's a super easy and fun background to make so I hope you enjoy.

Here we go!

And here's how to make the background. I use the felt pads with the Tim Holtz applicator tool. I think you are supposed to use the foam ones, but I've always been happy with the effect when using the felt pads.

Graphic 45 Is Now Available!

Woohoo! The new Graphic 45 Paper Packs are here and available in our store! If you haven't seen this line of vintage papers, now is the time to check them out. The details are amazing, the colors are rich and vibrant, and they are filled with nostalgia!

These papers are not only great for scrapbooking, they are perfect for any paper crafting or altered art project!

There are 3 new lines - Le' Romantique, A Proper Gentleman, and On The Boardwalk. Each of the new lines comes in a 12" by 12" pack OR an 8" by 8" pack.

It's a Snowy Time Here in Ohio! Deal Announcements!
