Play Along in the Simon Says Challenge!

Happy Hot Summery Day! Just in time for the spike in the weather (at least in Ohio), is a great theme for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge!

Theme: Let's Get Fruity!!!!

Our Design Team has created these cards for their own fun (and also to help inspire you)! Enter the challenge, join our following, and you might win a $50.00 gift voucher to Simon Says Stamp!! Here are the fruits of their labor (I couldn't resist saying that...lol)...

Jane used some lovely Magnolia items: Strawberry Yummy Tilda & Sweet Rainbow Papers

Heather used the Juggling Raspberries stamp by House Mouse.

Domi used the Citrus Punch stamp by House Mouse - look at their cute little faces!!

Debby used Adele Enjoying Fresh Apples - a Sarah Kay stamp. Like those papers? They're from Basic Grey's Sweet Threads collection.

Melissa used White Opal Liquid Pearls, Magnolia's Chocolate Strawberry stamp, and Strawberry Card Stock by Magnolia.

Heartfelt Creations Inspiration by Tesa Broman & Giovana Smith!

One of my lovely coworkers here at Simon Says Stamp, Liz, has recently adopted Heartfelt Creations as one of her brands. She is truly a great brand-mother and is always searching for neat inspiration and up-to-date info on the brands she manages.

Recently, she showed me some inspiration from the Heartfelt Creations blog by Tesa Broman and Giovana Smith and with their permission, we decided we've got to pass it on to you too!!

Instructions for this elegant card:

Make card base from Ivory Cardstock. 5" square Card. Cut a 4.75" square piece of Cardstock, emboss it and ink all edges. Tie on Ivory ribbon. Die-cut Leafy Spray from HCD 712 Bella Rose Die (soon to come to Simon Says Stamp!) from Ivory CS, ink all edges and glue it to card. Stamp sentiment on Ivory Cardstock in Vintage Photo Ink, Die-cut, emboss and distress it. Adhere it to card with foam dots. Adhere Star Dust Stickles to leaves and set to dry.

How to make these lovely tags:

Tag 1: Cut tag out of cardstock. Aprox 2x5. Glue down torn book paper pieces and cover with a thin layer of gesso. Stamp birdhouse and mask it with post it note paper. Spray pink glimmer mist. Let dry. Ink the edges with chalk. Stamp butterfly on scrap paper and adhere on bookmark. Die cut swirls and cut small pieces of it and ad to the "tails" of the buterflies. Tie a bow and adhere on bookmark with a button.

Tag 2: Make tag out of cardstock and stamp the birdhouse. Mask the birdhouse with post it note papers and stamp the Vintage word background with misty blue ink. Spray with blue glimmer mist and let dry. Stamp the bee twice and heat emboss. Color and cut out. Stamp the birdhouse on water color paper, paint the front rose and cut out. Adhere rose and bees on bookmark. Add glitter glam to the wings and add a ribbon and a button on top of the tag.

With any Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad or Hero Arts Dye Ink Pad you can color in any stamp :)

Well, I hope this FABULOUS new technique has inspired you to start water coloring your own creations!

New Bo Bunny is IN STOCK NOW!!

I love this Barefoot & Bliss Mini Edgy Album - you could put so many fun pictures since the pages are double-sided! Honestly anything that makes me think of the beach and vacations is a good thing!

These 6 x 6 Barefoot & Bliss papers are GORGEOUS!!! There's one that has waves on it - my fave!

I like the Barefoot & Bliss buttons and trinkets too!!! Who could resist?

And we also have Zoology:

Safari anyone? These 6 x 6 Zoology papers are pretty wild, yes?

Or maybe a trip to the zoo? We are lucky in Columbus to have a fantastic zoo with tons of well cared for animals. These Zoology Dimension Stickers remind me of it...they'd go nicely in a baby album too!

Wouldn't this Liberty Mini Edgy Album be nice for documenting all things patriotic?

These 6 x 6 Liberty papers remind me of my mom - she & my dad throw a rockin' 4th of July party. Mom makes sure things are coordinated down to the smallest detail ; )

I'm under the impression that Uncle Sam might approve of these Liberty Dimensional Stickers. Hard to see in the picture, but they are awesomely glittery!
