A Superb Decor Project!

I came across this project when I was visiting the Clearsnap website, it's by a wonderful artist named Jennifer Priest - what a cool idea to make an altered globe!!! All you need is a globe (they said it was found at Target), a circle punch, Smooch Spritz (might I recommend Gold Glow?), papers - the ones they use are from the 6 x 6 Blissful paper pad by Authentique, but also resemble and coordinate with the 6 x 6 Sunshine pad by My Mind's Eye.

Below are some instructional tips from Clearsnap:

Punch about 20-40 circles from each piece of 5 sheets of patterned paper. More paper is required for the patterns that are to cover the Equator of the globe and less paper for the patterns near the poles.

Start at the bottom of the globe with the darkest paper and work in layers, layering progressively paler circles, moving from the south to the north. Ink all the edges of the circles with ColorBox Fluid Chalk Ink in coordinating colors.

Some other items that might be helpful are a circle punch (depending on how many circles you want to punch, you can go for a 1" punch or 1.5" punch, etc, or you could die-cut some with Sizzix - they have dies that make 1", 1.25" and 1.5" circles.) You may also need: tissue paper, wire, Sizzix flowers die, butterflies - try Jenni Bowlin's!, hot glue, wire cutters or pliers, wax paper, scissors, vagabond, ribbon, buttons.

Happy Crafting and feel free to send in photos of your versions!!
