Jen's initial idea was to frame her creation, which is adorable, but I also love the sweet adaptation of making it a pillow!! You can easily and quickly make either by following a few simple steps. First, pick a piece of your favorite fabric or one that you have in and 8.5" x 11" size (or the ability to cut it down to this size). This cutting mat & scissors are great for getting your fabric ready! Next, pick out some red buttons, like these Ladybug Assorted buttons from Doodlebug. Arrange them in a heart shape, and adhere them to the fabric, allow some drying time, and secure the buttons in place by sewing them with May Arts burlap Natural twine. Allow for some extra twine and plan your stitching ahead by ending in the corner and then tie a cute little bow for a great finishing touch!
From this point, you can either frame your work, or take another piece of fabric of the same size and stitch and stuff an adorable accent pillow! You can also use a canvas board for a fun twist! The choice is adorable and both outcomes are darling! Thanks again to Jen Shears for the awesome idea!
