Let's get started with this gift tag, my take on a 'simple' Tim-spired project.
I die cut the deer into the kraft tag, then I stamped onto the tag, and I also mounted it onto a piece of patterned paper covered with Tim's frosted film. I used my beloved sticky embossing powder to add some glittery bursts around the tag, and topped it with some tinsel (love that stuff!) as well as a tiny tag stamped with my favorite blueprint stamp.
The Tim Holtz chit chat words add my finishing touches, and before you can say pass the candy canes I had completed my tag!
Warmed up and thinking of clever ways to present a gift card (or just make a card) I decided to alter a Starbucks drink holder.
These are such fun to make - and you can mix it up a variety of ways! For this one, I made one cut, and punched two holes on the opposite side. Then I added a piece of paper (cut to be just smaller than the cardboard sleeve itself) and tied it in with more of that awesome tinsel. Thanks to the holiday decorations already on the outside, I just added a die cut bird and metal flower colored with alcohol ink to complete my look.
Well, almost complete it! I finished things off with some glossy accents on the word rekindle, and some distress stickles around the edge - no project of mine is complete without that! Now I can make a pocket inside for a gift card, make this into a very tiny mini album, or treat it like a card.
Speaking of cards, I have a card featuring my favorite stamps this season - the mini blueprints.
I love the possibilities of these stamps, and I couldn't resist lining them up along with a strip of Tim's holiday paper and the simple sentiment "Merry Christmas". This is a card I could make lots of variations on - and if you don't have a sewing machine for the stitching you could always use stickles or something else to add a bit of texture and interest around yours.

Gifts are the projectors of your emotions. No matter how far you are from your loved terms, just a simple gift can put the lights on the dejected faces of them, who have been missing your presence on their special day.
