A Fiskars Tutorial with Jennifer McGuire!

Hi Bloggers! Happy Sunday! I hope the weekend is treating you well!

Today we have a special video from Jennifer McGuire to give us some education on the New Fiskars Procision Trimmer

Here are some key features of this awesome new trimmer:
  • Ideal for making straight, precise cuts through multiple sheets of cardstock, chipboard and grunge board, plus more traditional crafting materials like paper and vellum
  • Dual-rail system eliminates blade wiggle for straight, precise cuts
  • Spring-action rotary bypass blade stays sharp so it never needs to be replaced
  • Built-in smudge guard keeps your crafting materials fingerprint-free while you cut
  • Grid line measurements on the top and bottom provide versatile use
  • Long-lasting work surface provides accurate measurements every time
  • Rubberized feet offer excellent stability
  • Folding design provides space-saving storage and transport
  • Lifetime warranty

It's true, every crafter needs a good paper trimmer.  In addition to introducing this new heavy duty trimmer, Jennifer also features a couple other Fiskars trimmers, so hopefully this video will help you decide which one best fits your needs!

  1. Thanks for the video. I LOVE that first one but probably couldnt invest that much for it. But that second one looks perfect. I have a cricut one, but have had issues with it not making accurate cuts. I think its time to trade up.

  5. Great trimmer, may need one of those

  6. I actually did some testing on the first trimmer - I was given the heavy paper to cut - it even cut chipboard without any problems so cardstock and pattern paper would be wonderful - I have a paper trimmer graveyard - still searching for the perfect one for the big pieces of papers - may break down and buy this one.

I have added the little one - saw Jennifer use it in the online classes - it is wonderful

  14. These looks like they´re great trimmers for our use here. I had a Fiskarxs trimmer many years ago, but then it broke and I couldn´t get any spareparts for it, which upsetr me a bit at the price they charge for them, but hopefully that´s been better now a days.

    ReplyDelete
  44. When I first started out crafting I just bought a cheap $20 paper trimmer. It barely cuts through 4 pieces of paper nicely let alone four pieces of cardstock! I should probably invest in one of these... Thanks for the video.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Great to see the new trimmer - I have an older Fiskers one, and love the quality

    ReplyDelete
  46. Thanks for a great video, I really need a new trimmer and this helps a lot :)

  47. WOW, this cutter is on my mental wish list. My biggest complaint is not being able to cut a straight line. A quilter along with loving paper crafting, I frequently rely on my quilting rulers and rotary cutters to get straight cuts.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I am in the market for a trimmer that makes accurate cuts. They are very hard to find. The big bonus is that you never have to replace the blade. I shall put this on my wishlist. Thanks for the video!

    ReplyDelete
  49. I've tried lots of different trimmers, but the Fiskars brand is the only one I use now. I even bought two last time they were on special at Spotlight so that I had a spare for classes etc.

    ReplyDelete
  50. That trimmer looks awesome....I am going to have to check it out.

  72. Fiskars has always had the best trimmers & this one looks like they really kicked it up a notch!

    ReplyDelete
  73. I saw Jennifer's video when she posted it last month and was instantly enamored with the Procision. It seems to have everything: accuracy, stability, safety, multi-purposes. It will take a while to save up for it, but she sold me on it. I have both a craft room and garage full of Fiskars products. You can't go wrong with them. Their customer service is top notch, as Jennifer mentioned.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I caught this video on Jennifer's blog, but it's worth a 2nd look! This looks like a remarkable cutter! WTG Fiskars!

    ReplyDelete
  75. I love when Jennifer shows us utensils she uses. This is definitely a granddaddy for all cutters.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I use the smaller Fiskars trimmers but I think I might get the new procision one - I love the idea of being able to cut multiple papers and not having to replace the blade!

    ReplyDelete
  77. I LOVE Fiskars products, especially the Finger Tip knife!

    ReplyDelete
  78. I love Friskars products. I use one of their cutters now but this would be a great upgrade for me.
    Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  83. I like that you don't have to replace the blade.

    ReplyDelete
  84. I can personally vouch for Fiskar's customer service. I called them about a problem I was having with the wire in my cutter just the other day, and they're sending me a replacement ruler-- no questions asked!

    ReplyDelete
  85. I've been on the look out for a new paper trimmer myself. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on these two trimmers!!

    ReplyDelete
  86. Looks like a fabulous trimmer....I like that it is so heavy duty!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Love my Fiskars. Wish I had this one.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I have tried so many timmers and by far Fiskars is the only one I really like! I have the more personal trimmer with the wire guide and it just makes life so much easier.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I am really debating about getting this one...I already have the Genesis trimmer but I don't tend to use it and I don't like that I can not cut more than one piece of cardstock at a time. But I am not sure if I would like this one any better...still debating as I would for sure sell my Genesis...

    ReplyDelete
  90. I already own the second one with the wire guide. I love it!

    ReplyDelete
  91. Sounds and looks like a really great trimmer - the Pro. I have never had really good luck with blades - they seem to go dull so quickly. I have had an issue with the cording on the Fiskars as my first one broke and I did not know that you could get it replaced and I ended up throwing it out. So that was disappointing to know that I could have gotten a replacement. I love that the Pro's blade is not supposed to wear out - but I am a little leary of the price.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Thanks for the useful review, Jennifer! I have two local brand trimmer but it never been useful. I been looking for one really nice trimmer and been eyeing on Fiskar's. Thus, this video really helps!

  105. I still use my first Fiskars trimmer that I bought back in 2002! My only complaint is wiggle room in blade holder. I've learned to hold it down a certain way to get straight cuts. When I upgrade I will definitely consider this one.

  106. Thanks for the video! Need to check these out!
